Abstract: The present invention describes a composition for enhanced pesticidal activity comprising a pesticide or a mixture of pesticides and a potentiating amount of a stilbene compound. This invention further describes a method for enhancing pesticide toxicity against an insect, an acarina, a mollusk or a nematode which employs the sequential or concurrent application of a pesticide and a stilbene compound.

Abstract: There is provided a single step procedure for the manufacture of 1-(alkoxymethyl)pyrrole compounds by reacting the appropriate pyrrole precursor with a dihalomethane reagent in the presence of an alkali metal alkoxide. Abstract: The invention relates to compositions for the parenteral administration of an essentially uniform and continuous amount of a peptide, which has a molecular weight of up to about 5,000, over an extended period of time. The peptide composition comprises a compacted and partially coated C.sub.10 -C.sub.20 fatty acid salt of the peptide. Examples of peptides useful in the invention includehis-D-trp-ala-trp-D-phe-lys-NH.sub.2,bradykinin, luteinizing hormone releasing hormone, growth releasing factor and poly-l-lysine. The invention also relates to the preparation and administration of said peptide compositions.
Abstract: There is provided a process for the preparation of a substituted or unsubstituted 2,3-pyridine or quinolinedicarboxylic acid by hydrolysis of a substituted or unsubstituted 2,3-pyridine or quinolinedicarboxylic acid diester with an acid having an ionization constant pK.sub.a of less than 3.0 followed by isolation of the product as the free acid or an acid salt.
