Abstract: A vehicular exhaust hanger tool for swift, facile removal and installation of vehicular exhaust hangers by which vehicular mufflers are mounted. A hanger hook member with a curved hook is slidably movable along a guide member away from a mounting bracket abutting portion of the guide member to position and flex a hooked hanger.
Abstract: This invention is concerned with a business form assembly for use in hospitals and capable of recording details of a medical test, for example, a blood test. The assembly comprises a forms sheet and a bag capable of receiving a container containing a test sample and having closure means at the mouth of the bag to secure the container in the bag. The bag is secured to the forms sheet by adhesive. The business forms assembly is conveniently mounted on a retainer system comprising a continuous bar with a plurality of removable limbs with the lower limb passing through respective apertures in the assemblies.
Abstract: This invention relates to a frame for the transport and storage of pipes consisting of profile frame parts, of which the upper and lower profile frame parts are connectable with one another by bolting rod means. Recesses are provided on both ends of the profile frame parts for receiving the bolting rod means. The bolting rod is rotatably arranged with an end having a transverse crosspiece that is detachably positioned into lateral transverse bores of the lower profile frame part. The crosspiece has at least one bevel end for facilitating insertion of the crosspiece into the transverse bores of the lower profile frame parts.

Abstract: A continuous business form assembly comprises, first, a longitudinally continuously extending carrier web. The carrier web has a longitudinally spaced series of carrier form stubs thereon. The assembly comprises, second, a longitudinally spaced series of form sets attached to the carrier form stubs. The carrier web further includes spacer sheets alternating with the carrier form stubs. The spacer sheets provide leaders for printer feed tractors, for small quantity computer printer users.
Abstract: An improved swivel seat pedestal is disclosed. The pedestal has a swivel plate rotatable about a pivot pin secured to a fixed base plate. Two bearing clamps are secured to the underside of the swivel plate and extend under the base plate to add lateral bending, and torsional stability to the pedestal. A stop clamp is mounted under the base plate to limit rotation of the swivel plate to a predetermined range.
Abstract: A continuous business form assembly provides custom addressed, outgoing envelopes filled with contents sometimes including return envelopes. The assembly comprises at least four webs, one of which is a self-imaging web. The self-imaging web is positioned and adapted to provide custom addresses on itself visible through outgoing envelope windows.

Abstract: An improved locking system for a series of vertical arrayed drawers includes a plurality of dogs mounted on a pivot rod attached to a panel adjacent the series of drawers. The dogs pivot in response to an actuator plate which is driven by cam drive associated with movement of the drawers. The mechanism is useful for operation of a series of drawers in vertical array to maintain all of the drawers closed or to maintain selected drawers in a closed condition.
Abstract: A bias control circuit controlling the power transistor Q2 in a transistor amplifier circuit for supressing the arc formed across the contacts 12, 14, 16 in a glow plug controller 10 for diesel engines. The bias circuit generates a load line for the contacts 12, 14, 16 which has a high voltage, low current portion and a high current, low voltage portion. The arc is formed when the contact 14, which may be slow operating, is required to break a high current, high voltage line.
Abstract: An improved farm implement includes a frame having a forwad hitch which is maintained at a fixed position relative to the remainder of the implement during all stages of operation. The rear end of the frame includes running gear which may be raised and lowered to raise and lower an array of discs and chisel plows in order to cultivate a field, particularly a field which may includes a great amount of field stubble.
Abstract: This invention encompasses protein-protected ruminant feed comprising a pelleted admixture of unhydrolyzed proteinaceous meal and a ruminant-edible water-soluble zinc salt providing zinc ions in aqueous solution, said zinc salt being present in an amount providing a 0.25 to 1.3% zinc ions based on the dry weight of the proteinaceous meal, this feed having been prepared by intermixing said zinc salt with said proteinaceous meal, and forming the mixture into pellets. The large amount of zinc protects protein in the rumen of cattle and provides for more efficient utilization of feed protein.
Abstract: A liquid composition comprising a sunscreen agent, a preservative, and a non-ionic detergent, an amphoteric detergent or a mixture thereof in an aqueous vehicle. The sunscreen agent is selected from an aminobenzoic acid, the esters of an aminobenzoic acid, homosalate, anoxate, and oxybenzone and is present in an amount of not less than about 1 percent by weight of the composition. Applying the composition to the skin periodically leaves an effective amount of the sunscreen agent on the skin even after rinsing to protect the skin against sunburn.
Abstract: A rectally administered unit dosage form comprising a therapeutically effective amount of an analgesic , an antipyretic or an anti-inflammatory agent capable of being absorbed into the bloodstream from a rectal compartment and an adjuvant, said adjuvant comprising lecithin present in said dosage form in a sufficient amount to be effective in enhancing and prolonging the absorption rate of said analgesic, antipyretic or anti-inflammatory agent from the rectal compartment into the bloodstream, in conjunction with a nontoxic, pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and the methods of using said unit dosage form.
Abstract: A pneumatic and hydraulic cylinder includes a precision adjustment mechanism for precise adjustment of piston rod extended position. The rod is slidable within a sleeve, which is screw threaded or otherwise adjustably mounted to the cylinder. The sleeve includes a stop for the piston, adjustably establishing the extended position.
Abstract: A safety container, for example a strong box or safe, having rigid walls which provide safety against drilling and cutting with a torch. The wall has an external layer of heat-resistant chrome-nickel steel, and an internal wall of non-alloyed steel which are welded to a series of parallel closely-spaced ribs extending the length of the wall. The elongated pockets formed between the opposed metal layers and adjacent ribs are filled with bars of highly conductive aluminum having bodies of corundum embedded therein.
Abstract: An electronic computing system capable of learning and discovery employing a language composed of conditional statements called "classifiers" which respond to and operate fixed-length binary words called "messages". Each classifier comprises a condition part which identifies the message(s) to which the classfier responds, and an action part which specifies the content of the generated message which may, in part, be a function of one or more of the input messages. An adaptive algorithm, called the "bucket brigade algorithm", tracks the history of each classifier's performance and develops a strength value which serves as a measure of the past usefulness of that classifier in reaching a defined objective. A genetic algorithm generates new classifiers which are based on the strongest of the existing classifiers and which replace the weakest of the existing classifiers.
Abstract: An improved fireplace heat transfer unit includes a gas burner tube in a layer of sand retained in a trough beneath air conduction tubes arranged transversely to the burner tube. The air transfer tubes are all connected to a manifold at the rear of the fireplace grate unit which receives air for transport through the conduits and ejection into a room.
Abstract: An ignition control system for a direct ignition gas appliance, such as a furnace. A main gas valve, spark generator, flame sensor, and purge blower are all interconnected to a single controller. The controller issues a purge signal to the blower for a first predetermined period. Thereafter, for a second predetermined period, the controller issues an interconnect signal to allow the main gas valve to open and an ignition signal to cause the ignition source to ignite the gas flowing into the appliance from the valve. If the controller thereafter fails to receive a signal from the flame sensor, the attempt at ignition was unsuccessful. After a predetermined number of unsuccessful attempts at ignition, the controller issues a lockout signal to the valve. Moreover, the controller includes redundant circuits for detecting malfunctions within itself and responsively closing the main gas valve.
