Abstract: A method and system for modifying program applications of a legacy computer system to directly output data in XML format models the legacy computer system, maps the model to an XML schema and automatically modifies one or more applications to directly output XML formatted data in cooperation with a writer engine and a context table. A modeling engine lists the incidents within the applications that write data and generates a report data model. The report data model includes statically determined value or type of the data fields and is written in a formal grammar that describes how the write operations are combined. A modification specification is created to define modifications to the legacy computer system applications that relate applications that write data to the XML schema.

Abstract: A method is provided that includes: receiving, by a framework, a request communicated by a source, the request including an associated functionality. The method also includes integrating, by an abstraction layer, a java object into the request such that a generic term associated with the request is generated. The generic term is insulated from the functionality of the request. The generic term is processed within the framework and a response associated with the request is returned to the source.

Abstract: The data structure of data removed from a database may be stored with the removed data. The removed data may be restored to the same or different data structure. Identifying information about the removed data may be stored. An attribute tag that identifies the collection of the data within the database may be associated with each removed data element. A removed data element may be restored to the database by comparing the attribute tag of the removed data element with the attribute tags in the current data structure and adding the data element to the database as indicated by the corresponding attribute tag.
Abstract: A system and apparatus for discrete PLC control using word sequences in a data table for controlling a device on an assembly line. The data table contains sequencing information which defines, for each station on the line, a series of operations with corresponding setup and operation parameters. By placing the sequencing information in a data table, programming or changing the series of operations for a PLC is made much more simple and efficient.
Abstract: A method and system for providing efficient transmission power control commands to a base station. In a third generation IS-95 CDMA network, for example, cdma2000, the forward pilot channel is used to estimate the received signal power level. In the presently preferred embodiment, a mobile station measures the received pilot channel power, on a forward link pilot channel. The loss experienced on the pilot channel is estimated as the difference between the pilot channel power transmitted at the base station and the pilot channel power received at the mobile station. The pilot power transmission power is typically fixed based upon the operating environment of the base station. The fixed pilot channel transmission power can be transmitted via a message from the base station.
Abstract: A system and a method for the customization of an interactive game based on mobile station activity. The interactive game is played in a virtual space using a wireless mobile station as a user interface. The game is tracked and controlled using a game center and a game server. The game server executes a software application that runs a game center. A command set is provided for each state within the game. The choice of a command from the command set changes the game state. Games are designed to be customizable based on, for example, current location of the mobile station, call usage on the mobile station, or wireless services utilized by the mobile station.

Abstract: A gain control in an amplifier. The gain controller is an active amplifier device which provides high and low gain by switching DC biasing at the gain control terminals and also switching device terminal designations. In high gain mode, the DC voltage source is connected to a first bias terminal of the gain controller. The device terminal connected to said first bias terminal through a load is designated as the drain terminal. A constant current source is connected to a second bias terminal of the gain controller which is designated as the source terminal. In low gain mode, the constant current source is connected to the first bias terminal. Now the device terminal connected to the said first bias terminal through the load is redesignated as the source terminal. The DC voltage source is connected to the second bias terminal of the gain controller and the terminal is redesignated as the drain terminal.
