  • Patent number: 4953179
Abstract: An energy-dispersal signal rejection circuit adapted for use in a direct-broadcast-from-satellite system rejects an energy-dispersal signal from an input signal which includes a video signal composed with the energy-dispersal signal by generating a cancellation signal synchronized with, and having a phase and amplitude determined in accordance with the energy-dispersal signal, and such cancellation signal is composed with the input signal, for example by adding the two signals, so that the energy-dispersal signal is cancelled from the input signal and the video signal is produced as an output signal.

  • Patent number: 4922331
Abstract: A video signal reproducing apparatus has a filter circuit interposed in a transmission path for a reproduced luminance signal, and the characteristic of the filter circuit desirably includes a band-eliminating characteristic and a comb-filter passband characteristic which can be selectively emphasized. When the reproduced luminance signal has a normal or relatively smaller frequency bandwidth or a relatively small line correlation component, or when the level of the reproduced carrier chrominance signal is high, the band-eliminating characteristic of the filter circuit is emphasized.

  • Patent number: 4885601
Abstract: In an apparatus that employs a photo-sensitive sheet with a surface comprised of photo-sensitive microcapsules containing pigments or precursors thereof and which are selectively hardened when irradiated with a light image of a picture to be developed on a sheet of developing paper by the pressing together of the developing paper and the photo-sensitive sheets; the developing paper and photo-sensitive sheets in contact with each other are transported in a predetermined direction of sheet travel across a back-up surface, and a rotatable roller disposed in opposing relation to the back-up surface and having its axis of rotation extending parallel to the direction of sheet travel is transported relative to the back-up surface in a direction parallel to the latter which is perpendicular to the direction of sheet travel while the roller is urged toward the back-up surface with the contacting developing paper and photo-sensitive sheets therebetween so as to be pressed together at a relatively narrow striped-like ar

  • Patent number: 4831449
Abstract: In a television apparatus having a television receiver, a video tape recorder for recording and reproducing video and audio information included in a received television signal and being susceptible to distortion of the recorded video information when subjected to vibrations at substantially a predetermined mechanical resonant vibration frequency, speakers for audibly reproducing the audio information of the television signal, and a single cabinet containing the television receiver, the video tape recorder and the speakers so that the video tape recorder is influenced by vibrations generated in response to operation of the speakers; an audio signal processor which acts on the received and reproduced audio information to provide an audio output signal for driving the speakers includes a suppression circuit operative in at least the recording mode of the video tape recorder for relatively suppressing at least a component of the audio output signal having substantially the predetermined mechanical resonant vibra

  • Patent number: 4802044
Abstract: In a tape cassette having supply and take-up reels on which a tape extending between the reels is wound, a cassette housing containing the reels, leaf springs for urging the reels toward the lower portion of the housing, and headed pins depending from an upper portion of the housing through holes in the leaf springs for mounting the latter; each leaf spring has a surface portion adjacent the respective hole formed with fine convex and concave irregularities and being engaged by the respective headed pin for securely holding the leaf springs against turning and wobbling about the headed pins.
