    Abstract: An improve modular communication repeater system is adapted for use with a wide variety of media types in an industrial control system to repeat communication port onto various media at multiple communication ports in the industrial control system. A modular communication repeater system is provided. The system includes at least one communication repeater adapter device coupled with a plurality of repeater communication modules. A single repeater adapter connector is provided on one side of the repeater adapter. Each of the plurality of repeater communication modules is provided with an input connector on one side and an output connector on the other side. The repeater adapter device includes an internal communication repeater circuit adapted to receive communication data on a one of first and second sets of repeater adapter contacts and broadcast the communication data onto the other one of the first and second sets of repeater adapter contacts.

    Abstract: A method for loading slot cell insulators into a plurality of slots in a stator core of a dynamoelectric machine is disclosed. The method includes forming a slot cell insulator having a generally U-shape cross-section. The slot cell insulator may be turned so that an open end of the generally U-shape slot cell insulator face a loading assembly. The slot cell insulator is moved into the loading assembly. The forming and moving are repeated until a plurality of slot cell insulators are stored in the loading assembly. The plurality of slot cell insulators are pushed from the loading assembly into the slots of the stator core.

    Abstract: A motor drive and a choke therefor are disclosed, wherein the choke comprises a magnetic core with an inner leg and two outer legs, and four coils, which may be connected in DC current paths in the motor drive. First and second differential coils are wound around first and second outer legs, respectively; and first and second common-mode coils are wound around the inner leg of the choke. The first and second differential coils smooth the DC current on a DC bus in the motor drive, and the first and second common-mode coils suppress common-mode voltages in the motor drive. Also disclosed is a method for suppressing common-mode voltages in a motor drive.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a stability brake for absorbing parasitic vibrations of a stage moved to a working position in a motion system. The stability brake includes a motor coupled to a flexure plate through a translation system. The translation system translates horizontal motion of the motor into vertical motion of the flexure plate. The stability brake can be mounted to a stage in a motion system, such as a linear motion system. The stability brake is operative to absorb jitters and vibrations of the stage when the stage is moved to a working position in a motion system and held under servo at the working position.

The invention avoids the problems associated with conventional output devices by allowing a user to define one or more attributes associated with the output device, as well as defining a binding to local logic. The user may thereby determine or select the output value source which will be used by the output device under a variety of system conditions, depending on configuration of the output device or module, the current state of the module, and the state of a network. The method provides associating the output device with a logic function, providing the output value according to the logic function, ignoring explicit messages from the network, ignoring value messages from the network, selectively ignoring fault messages according to an override attribute, and selectively ignoring idle messages according to the override attribute.
