Abstract: A computer program for operating a computer to perform various steps. In one step, the program causes the computer to display to a user of the computer a first hierarchical level representative of one or more companies, where each company of the one or more companies has respective water treatment needs. In another step, and for each company of the one or more companies, the program causes the computer to display to the user of the computer a second first hierarchical level representative of one or more facilities for the respective company. In another step, and for each facility of each company of the one or more companies, the program causes the computer to display to the user of the computer a third hierarchical level representative of one or more water treatment systems for the respective facility.

Abstract: An investment system provides for multiple employers. The employers withhold payments to employees according to preferences defined by the employee. The employer forwards the withholding to an investment account manager who manages accounts for each employee. The account manager pools the withholding from the employees and invests the money in proportion to the preferences stated by the employees in the plan. Employees may change employers without affecting their accounts. Tax information may be calculated by the system to ensure accurate gratuity accounting and tax compliance on the part of the employer.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for performing wear leveling in a non-volatile memory system are disclosed. According to one aspect of the present invention, one method for processing elements included in a non-volatile memory of a memory system includes obtaining erase counts associated with elements and grouping a number of the elements into a first set. Each element has an associated erase count that substantially indicates a number of times the element has been erased. Grouping the number of elements into the first set includes selecting elements included in the plurality of elements which have the lowest associated erase counts of the erase counts associated with the plurality of elements. The method also includes storing the erase counts associated with the first set in a memory component substantially within a table.

Abstract: A healthcare information network provides a global database at a central information system which is synchronized with local databases at respective healthcare provider offices. The local database are used by the healthcare providers for confirming patient and healthcare information. As patient and health plan information is added, updated or deleted from any of the local databases, files are generated to update the global database. The proposed changes to the global database are verified and the global database is modified. Modification of the global database is memorialized in a repository which is then used to produce SQL commands to update each of the local databases so that they are synchronized with the global database.

Abstract: An angled germicidal lamp is used to illuminate a coil and drain pan for optimum energy utilization. An angled mount formed of two retention clips positions a germicidal lamp at a desired angle. A security access cover ensures that the germicidal lamp is disconnected from its power supply before access. Multiple germicidal lamps may be mounted by a single retention clip.

Abstract: Oxygen is supplied to a pediatric patient through a plaything coupled to an oxygen source. Oxygen is dispensed through the plaything through one or more oxygen ports which allow the patient to interact with the plaything while maintaining a flow of oxygen near the mouth and nose of the patient for maximum oxygen transfer.

Abstract: A topological panorama camera has a track or other system upon which a linescan camera can move in one, two or three dimensions while recording the image of an object. The path, speed, acceleration, scan rate and direction of the linescan camera can be controlled, as can the path, speed, acceleration and direction of the object. A pattern is projected onto an object of arbitrary shape and is imaged by the topological panorama camera in one or more passes. The image of the pattern received by the camera is analyzed to determine the exterior shape of the object.

Abstract: An angled germicidal lamp is used to illuminate a coil and drain pan for optimum energy utilization. In one embodiment, a variable angled mount is used for positioning a germicidal lamp at a desired angle at the time of installation. In a second embodiment, a fixed angled mount is used for installation where the desired angle of mounting is known prior to installation. The angled germicidal lamp may be used with any coil installation, including flat, tilted and A-coils. For A-coil installations, a preformed delta plate is provided to ease installation.

Abstract: A voice activated dialing system includes a database maintaining a plurality of speech templates, associated telephone numbers, and recordings, wherein multiple speech templates can be linked to a single master recording. Processing circuitry compares an utterance from a user to one or more of the templates from the database to find a matching template. When a match is found, the processing circuitry retrieves the telephone number associated with the matching template and the corresponding recording. The recording is replayed to the user prior to initiating a connection to the associated telephone number. Master recordings can be used for multiple entries which are associated with a single telephone number to reduce storage requirements.

Accordingly, most unwanted calls are avoided and users are compensated for receiving unwanted calls that are completed.

Abstract: A method of operating a speech recognition system. The method loads a speech model from a storage facility into a memory accessible by a processor. This loading step includes two steps. A first of these steps loads process-independent state data representative of a plurality of states of the speech model. A second of these steps loads process-specific state data representative of the plurality of states of the speech model. The speech recognition system then performs a first speech recognition process with the processor by accessing the process-independent state data and a first portion of the process-specific state data. The speech recognition system also performs a second speech recognition process with the processor, where the second process also accesses the process-independent state data but further accesses a second portion of the process-specific state data different than the first portion of the process-specific state data.
