  • Patent number: 6119909
Abstract: The tool holder of the present invention has one or more pockets which are specially configured to hold a variety of portable tools and other objects. Specifically, the present invention comprises a tool holder or bag that has at least one pocket configured so that it can carry a relatively heavy power tool such as a power drill, or a lighter tool having an angular portion such as a soldering gun, caulking gun and the like. In the preferred embodiment, the specially configured pocket is placed in the area closest to the user to provide additional structural support for the tool to be placed therein. Pockets can also be specially configured to contain other tools.

  • Patent number: 6118113
Abstract: The present invention is a system and method to quickly and accurately measure the luminance and luminance distribution of a light on the surface of an object so that the position of the focusing reflectors in the projector can be adjusted to obtain the best luminance available for that object. In one method of the present invention a scanning light receiver, which produces an optical image of the object whose luminance is to be tested, is set up so that it may view a substantial portion of the surface of the object. The light receiver is connected to a analyzer and control unit ("ACU") to which it sends an electronic image representing the reflected luminance of the surface during each scan. The reflected light that is detected by the light receiver is then analyzed by the ACU to determine the luminance levels and distribution across a substantial portion of the surface.

  • Patent number: 6013911
Abstract: The present invention is a system and method to quickly and accurately measure the luminance and luminance distribution of a light on the surface of an object so that the position of the lamp can be adjusted relative to the projector optics to obtain the best luminance available for that object. A scanning light receiver, which produces an optical image of the object whose luminance is to be tested, is set up so that it may view a substantial portion of the surface of the object. The light receiver is connected to a analyzer and control unit ("ACU") to which it sends an electronic image representing the reflected luminance of the surface during each scan. The reflected light that is detected by the light receiver is then analyzed by the ACU to determine the luminance levels and distribution across a substantial portion of the surface by measuring the voltage of each pixel detected by the light receiver measured against the voltage produced by a black level.

  • Patent number: 5890614
Abstract: A system comprised of trays is disclosed for converting a bucket to an organized receptacle for storing, carrying and dispensing tools and small parts or objects. Each of the trays is configured substantially as a modified circle so that it can be stacked neatly within the bucket. Each tray has partitions which divide the tray into compartments. Each tray has a partially recessed handle in the center of each tray in a configuration enabling them to be grasped readily by the fingers of a user, even when the tray is filled. Each individual tray is thereby readily removable. The trays can be stacked so that they are either recessed within the tray laying beneath it or can rest on the top edge thereof. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the trays are provided in variable vertical dimensions with at least two of the upper trays having a pie-shaped wedge removed therefrom thereby providing for the storage of vertically elongated articles therein.

  • Patent number: 5818597
Abstract: The present invention is a system and method to expeditiously and accurately measure the luminance, weave, jump and flicker of an object so that the best luminance available for that object may be achieved by making adjustments to the light source, the reflecting surface and the like. A scanning light receiver which produces a two dimensional optical image of the object whose luminance is to be tested, is set up so that it may view a substantial portion of the object. The light receiver is connected to a analyzer and interface unit ("AIU") to which it sends an electronic image representing the reflected luminance of the object during each scan. The reflected light that is detected by the light receiver is then analyzed by the AIU to determine the luminance levels, weave, jump and flicker of the luminance across a substantial portion of the object by measuring the voltage of each pixel detected by the light receiver measured against the voltage produced by a black level.

  • Patent number: 5600206
Abstract: The present invention is a sound light assembly for reading encoded information on a film utilizing cyan, magenta and yellow color dyes rather than silver emulsion, that may be used with existing projection equipment. The invention comprises at least one narrow spectrum LED array of a plurality of LED die that produce high intensity illumination with very little infrared energy, a current regulating device, compensation resistors for correcting any variations between the individual LED die intensity and an immersion lens for redirecting the wide LED output pattern into a small cone of light. Each LED array has a peak energy that coincides with the maximum density of a corresponding color dye layer.

  • Patent number: 5497921
Abstract: A holder for a paint can or other object having a handle is shown that is worn on the belt of a user. The holder comprises a base having a top and a bottom portion, the top portion being folded over the bottom portion and affixed thereto to form a loop which receives the belt of the user. A bracing means is attached to the top portion for holding the handle of the object so that the object will always be held in a vertical position. A swivelling means is attached to the bottom portion of said base and a strapping means is attached to said swivelling means for enclosing said object therein. In use, the object is placed in the strapping means and the handle thereof is attached to the bracing means, such that when the user bends over at an angle, the swivelling means will adjust the object so that it remains substantially upright and level to prevent spillage therefrom.
