Abstract: A holder is provided for maintaining a device such as a musical instrument in a steady position on the floor upon which the device has been placed. The holder is attached to the floor but can be easily removed. The holder is provided with a recess adapted to receive the device. The recess is located on the top of the holder. The holder separates the device from the floor and comprises a substrate which has a pressure sensitive adhesive affixed to its bottom surface.

Abstract: A ski or other similar sport boot is provided which includes a boot base for accommodating the foot of the wearer of the boot and a soft inner boot adapted to fit inside or on the boot base and surround the lower leg of the wearer of the boot. The boot also includes an upper cuff attached to the boot base. A closure strap for securing the upper cuff and inner bladder to the lower leg of the wearer of the boot is provided. The closure strap has a non-elastic band attached to an elastic portion. It also includes a securing means for adjusting the length of the non-elastic band and securely maintaining the adjusted length of the non-elastic band in a desired position.

Abstract: A locking structure for two telescoping tubular members is provided with an outer tube member and an inner tube member slidable inside the outer tube member. An expansion member is located within the outer tube member. The expansion member contains at least two tapered members each having innermost and outermost portions, the outermost portions being spaced no more than 1/2 inch from each other. On the expansion member is an outer tube pressure member shaped to fit the expansion to member and disposed between said the expansion member and the inner surface of the outer tube member. The expansion member may be attached to the inner tube member. The expansion member is moved in opposite directions inside the outer tube member so that when said expansion member is moved in a first direction, pressure is directly applied to the outer tube pressure member which in turn applies pressure to the inner surface of the outer tube member thereby maintaining the inner and outer tube members in a locked position.

Abstract: A radiopaque tube for use as a medical catheter is provided. The tube is preferably formed about a wire mandrel which is subsequently removed to form the lumen of the tube. The tube includes an inner wall layer made from a polymer resin defining the lumen. A spiral wound reinforcement layer of a radiopaque material is wound about the inner wall layer. The spiral wound layer can comprise flat wire or a multiple strands wound about parallel to each other. A polymer resin outer wall layer is laid over said spiral wound radiopaque layer so that the radiopaque layer is embedded between the inner wall layer and the outer surface of the outer wall layer.

Abstract: An improved ski pole is provided containing an easily removable hand grip. The grip contains an inner sleeve, an outer covering over the inner sleeve and hand operational pressure means for tightening and loosening the inner sleeve on the shaft of the ski pole.

Abstract: A backpack provided with a pack frame and pack bag for transferring a substantial portion of the loading being carried to the wearer's hips. The pack bag is suspended from the pack frame and maintained in a position diagonal to the plane of the pack frame. The point of suspension of the pack bag to the pack frame is at a point higher than the point of attachment of the shoulder straps to an upper portion of the pack bag.

Abstract: An eyeglass retainer comprising a band with tubular members at each end made of an elastic material, the tubular members being lined with a primary surface lining material and friction means being fixed to the tubular members and extending into the interior space of the tubular members.

Abstract: An improved pendulum golf putter is provided. The putter has an elongated shaft having upper and lower portions. A putter head fixedly mounted to the end of the lower portion of the shaft. A grip is provided having an upper portion and a lower portion, said grip being fixed to the upper portion of the shaft. The upper portion of the grip has a smooth surface adapted to be gripped by all fingers and the palm of the upper hand of the golfer, said upper portion of the grip being substantially in line with the lower portion of the grip. The lower portion of the grip has a non-slip surface which is a sufficient distance from the upper portion of the grip so that during the putting stroke the club can be powered by the lower hand of the golfer while at the same time maintaining the upper hand in a stationary position.

Abstract: A pants type garment is provided with a leg portion made from a substantially unitary stretchable piece of material which is symmetric about a center fold.Prior to being formed into the leg portion, said unitary piece of material defines a pattern containing a first V-shaped recessed cut and a second V-shaped recessed cut about the midpoint of the pattern where the crotch portion is to be located.The crotch is at the center fold of the pattern piece between the two V-shaped recessed cuts.The substantially rectangular upper portion is attached to the leg portion by a seam which runs along the first and second sides of the V-shaped recessed cuts.

Abstract: A motorcycle with an improved steering mechanism is provided. The motorcycle is provided with a swing arm which is moveably attached to a tracking mechanism. The tracking mechanism is an arcuate track which is attached directly to the frame or engine of the motorcycle. When the front wheel is steered about its steering axis, the swing arm moves along the arc of the arcuate tracking mechanism.

Abstract: An attachment to a zipper pull tab is provided. The attachment is a flexible elongaged member with its length being at least twice its width. The upper portion of the flexible elongated member is provided with an opening through which the lower portion of the elongated member may be inserted.

Abstract: A device is provided for use by a physician to relocate a dislocated shoulder of a patient. The device includes a bent rigid member, an upper arm connecting member attached to one end of the bent rigid member, a lower arm connecting member attached to the other end of the bent rigid member, a loop attached to the bent rigid member. The device is also supplied with belt means for attaching the loop to the physician in order to allow him to apply force to the bent rigid member by using his body weight.

Abstract: A method for processing a copper alloy wherein the alloy comprises from 0.2-1.0% beryllium, 1.4-2.2% nickel or cobalt and remainder copper. Said method comprising one or more processing steps and characterized in that said steps conclude with cold working the alloy to an area reduction of at least 99% followed by a batch annealing at a temperature of 750.degree.-950.degree. F. for a period of 1-4 hours.

Abstract: A wire having a tensile strength of at least 95 psi and conductivity of at least 60 percent IACS is provided. The wire is manufactured from a precipitation hardenable alloy, the alloy consisting essentially of about 0.38 percent beryllium, 1.66 percent nickel or cobalt and the remainder copper. The manufacture comprises one or more processing steps concluding with cold working the alloy to a wire and an area reduction of at least 99 percent.

Abstract: A blowing agent composition is provided comprising an azodicarbonamid; zinc oxide, zinc carbonate or a zinc salt of C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 organic acid; and an aromatic sulfinic acid or a metal salt of an aromatic sulfinic acid. For each hundred parts by weight of the azodicarbonamid, the zinc oxide, zinc carbonate or zinc salt is 0.25-25 parts by weight and the aromatic sulfinic acid or metal salt is from 1-2000 parts by weight for each 100 parts of the zinc oxide, zinc carbonate or zinc salt. The total weight of the zinc oxide, zinc carbonate or zinc salt plus the aromatic sulfinic acid or metal salt is from 20-25 parts by weight.
