  • Patent number: 4640423
Abstract: A container package comprises a plurality of individual containers which each have a hollow polygonal body from which an elongated hollow neck extends. Each hollow body has side walls, a bottom wall and a top shoulder wall. A recess is provided either in the bottom wall or one of the side walls for receiving the neck of an adjacent container in the package. The containers are mated together and form a polyhedron. The containers may have interior volumes which are different from each other so that the containers contain different amounts of materials or may have identical volumes but be shaped differently from each other. At least one of the recesses may also contain a secondary container which, together with a neck of another container, substantially fill the recess.

  • Patent number: 4635523
Abstract: A bridge on a bass-violin style instrument is isolated from the solid-filled body of the instrument by support bars contructed so that an air space is provided between each of the bars and the body of the instrument. The support bars are preferably composed of spruce wood.

  • Patent number: 4628646
Abstract: A cover arrangement for a servicing hole comprises a band of a plurality of supporting bars pivotably connected with one another by chains. The band can be drawn into an open position and pushed into a closed position by a reversing motor driving chain wheels which engage with the chains at the band. Guide means at both ends of each supporting bar move along a horizontal U-shaped path which is continuously surrounded by a guiding web structure ensuring that the band is positively guided and cannot buckle even during its pushing motion.

  • Patent number: 4573595
Abstract: A multi-purpose container unit whose hollow body, neck and shoulder sections are proportioned and constructed in a manner that allows interfacing and mating with an identical or mirror image unit of like size, volume or exterior proportions in mirror image. The container has a neck and a recessed portion along its vertical axis which accepts and provides safe harbor and protection to the neck and closure portion of a first container of the mated unit whose corresponding body recess, in turn, accepts its neck and closure portion of a second container of the mated unit resulting in a new composite geometrical shape such that the outside dimensions of the mated pair of containers provides improved packing economy.

  • Patent number: 4505497
Abstract: A Multi-colored composite print is provided on one side of a transparent medium to produce conventionally readable data when viewed from either side. In one embodiment, a first color, on one side of the medium, provides a solid area in that color. Data that is conventionally readable, when viewed from the opposite side, is also formed on that side. A second color, lighter than the first color, is applied to the one side excluding a subarea of the first color so as to provide second readable data which is conventionally readable when viewed from the one side. The first and second readable data are correlated.

  • Patent number: 4428087
Abstract: A therapeutic air mattress for attending patients consists of an inflatable hollow body provided with a pair of symmetrically arranged longitudinal air tubes which form an inflatable single chamber system and which almost adjoin one another in a head region and are spaced from one another in a body region where an intermediate chamber is provided in which an oblong resiliently deformable body is displaceably arranged, having a lower degree of deformation that the inflated pair of air tubes. Alternatively, the intermediate chamber also is inflatable, but independently of the pair of tubes, and in use is blown up to a greater extent than the pair of tubes.Patients lying on the mattress can be set in rhythmical vibrations in order to attend on articular rheumatism and blockages of vertebrae and articulations.

  • Patent number: 4424838
Abstract: A method for protection of metal surfaces against corrosion especially for use in automobiles consists in that a tube manifold system is connected with a central supply station containing an anticorrosive agent. Branch tubes of the manifold are connected with a plurality of metal surfaces and perforated in the area of the surfaces in order to distribute the agent over the surfaces when a pressure is generated in the supply station. The metal surfaces are covered by a layer of absorbent material which is saturated with the anticorrosive agent to provide for a long-time protection.
