Abstract: A system and method for creating, deploying, selecting and associating cloud computing services from many cloud vendors to effectuate a large-scale information technology data processing center implemented in a software only form. Services may be employed from any number of different service providers and user define policies provides for switching to or aggregating different service providers when necessary. Configurations can be created that allow for service provider selection based on user-selectable parameters such as cost, availability, performance and service level agreement terms. The system employs measurement, aggregation, reporting and decision support of system usage and costing, performance, Service level, feature set, to automate the construction, operation and ongoing management of software based cloud. Drag and drop, non list based UI for the construction and modification of clouds implemented and modeled in software.
Abstract: A device comprising a metallic conical portion, said conical portion substantially hollow having a vertex end and a base end, a first cylindrical portion disposed annularly about the base end of the conical portion, a metallic second cylindrical portion coupled to the vertex of the conical portion, said cylindrical portion having a threaded aperture, and an antenna feed coupled to the threaded aperture. The device may have a patch disposed on an insulator portion connected to the second cylindrical portion, said patch and insulator portion each having an aperture, and a metallic ground portion connected to the insulator portion, said ground portion having an ground aperture, and a threaded screw disposed through the ground aperture, the patch, the insulator aperture and into the threaded aperture. An RF feed may be created by coupling the threaded aperture to a conductive material disposed on the insulator portion.
Abstract: A device comprising a solid state or mechanical switch coupled to a first connector and a second connector and at least one lighting device such as an LED light source wherein when power is applied to the first connector, the switch is operable to direct power to the lighting device and to a portion of the pins of the second connector. By constructing the connectors as similar, but with opposite genders, the connectors can be disposed on a circuit assembly to allow for daisy chaining a series of luminaire assemblies together. The connectors may be Ethernet connectors and the switch may be operable through control signals coupled to the Ethernet connector such that a smart power controller operating using power over Ethernet (POE) can operate to control the light sources.
Abstract: A luminaire comprising a first hub comprising a first fixed portion rotatably coupled to a first rotor portion, said hub having an internal chamber, accessible through openings on the first fixed portion and the first rotor portion; a first lamp socket coupled to the first rotor portion of the first hub; a light rail affixed to the first rotor portion, said light rail having a bore the length of the light rail; a second hub comprising a second fixed portion rotatably coupled to a second rotor portion; and a second lamp socket coupled to the second rotor portion of the second hub, wherein a first set of one or more power wires is coupled to the first lamp socket, wherein a second set of power wires is disposed in the opening on the first fixed portion and further into the bore and is coupled to the second socket.
Abstract: A connecting device comprising a body having a threaded portion and a sleeve portion. A plurality of coaxial receptacles disposed in the threaded portion, each receptacle formed to couple with element of a coaxial cable connector, and a plurality of coaxial mounts disposed on the sleeve end. The coaxial mounts may be coupled to coaxial leads with each lead having a mini-connectors. The body is substantially similar to a type-n connector and provides for easy coupling of multiple coaxial cables within a single connector housing.
