  • Patent number: 6631587
Abstract: A new supplemental gutter support bracket designed to be incorporated upon a conventional gutter bracket by being installed upon and secured to the existing gutter bracket as well as the eave to which the gutter bracket is attached. When installed in conjunction with a conventional gutter bracket the supplemental gutter support bracket provides added strength to the gutter support system by triangulating the mounting points of the conventional gutter bracket with the mounting points of the supplemental gutter support bracket. The supplemental gutter support bracket also requires no additional mounting points to the eave or gutter while remaining invisible to the viewer on the ground after installation. The supplemental gutter support bracket also does not protrude or hang down into the gutter channel thereby impeding the flow of larger debris into the preselected gutter downspout.

  • Patent number: 5843054
Abstract: An ostomy bag cover for an ostomy bag of the type having an inlet, a connecting member for connecting the inlet in communication with a stoma on a wearer's body and a closable outlet at the bottom of the ostomy bag for emptying the contents therefrom. The cover is in the form of a hollow body and includes a ribbed aperture formed therein adapted to be disposed in close tolerance with the inlet of the ostomy bag and to receive the connecting member therethrough. Said ribbed aperture provides an improved fit of the ostomy bag cover in relation to the ostomy bag inlet thereby providing the wearer with greater comfort by reduced contact of the wearer's skin with the ostomy bag, the connecting member, or the ostomy inlet. A second aperture is formed in the bottom of the hollow body between spaced side portions thereof and is adapted to be disposed in proximity with the outlet of the ostomy bag. A releasable fastener is mounted on the space sides for releasably closing the second aperture in the hollow body.

  • Patent number: 5795216
Abstract: An abrading tool adaptable to function as a needle scaler or chisel type device. Said abrading tool acts upon a surface to be treated in a efficient and environmentally safe manner, by removal of a work surface coating or fouling film, lead paint, rust, weld spatters, or the like, with low loss and collection of removed material dust and debris for safe filtering and disposal thereof so that operations such as boat hull and auto body cleaning or paint removal, for example, may be carried out without an inordinate hazard of contaminating the ambient work area environment.

  • Patent number: 5752800
Abstract: A pick-up truck ramp/bed extender adapted to be mounted upon inside bed surface of a tailgate. The ramp/bed extender is comprised of collapsible sections which, when fully extended and supported by supplementary rigid structures, provide a quick, convenient, and sturdy loading surface whereupon small machinery such as motorcycles, lawnmowers and snow mobiles may be loaded into the truck bed with little effort. The ramp/bed extender may be transported in two different positions. In the first transport position the ramp/bed extender is fully collapsed and secured against the inside bed surface of the closed tailgate. While in this position, the tailgate may be operated in the same manner as if the ramp/bed extender were not present. In the second transport position, the tailgate is lowered to the opened position with the ramp/bed extender forming a substantially enclosed structure thereby containing the items disposed in the now enlarged cargo area of the truck bed.

  • Patent number: 5394016
Abstract: A solar and wind energy generating system for mounting to a building comprises a wind generator system including at least an auger shaped air engaging member. A plurality of wind generators having air engaging vanes may also be provided. The wind generating system intercepts the flow of air currents to produce mechanical energy which is transformed into electrical energy by an electric generator. The air engaging surface of the wind generator vanes or the auger include a plurality of surface deviations. The surface deviations are arranged in at least one predetermined pattern such as a plurality of radially extending deviation sets. The solar generator includes a plurality of solar energy collectors. The wind generators may further include air engaging vanes with at least one transparent surface, and a plurality of solar energy collectors within a cavity formed in the vane, thus forming a combined solar and wind energy generator.
