Abstract: A support pole comprising an outer upper pole and an inner lower pole. The inner pole may telescopically slide within the upper pole. The poles may slide freely with respect to one another. A lock mechanism with a quick-release lever may be utilized to friction or tension lock the first pole at a desired position with respect to the second pole. The support pole may be used in a variety of methods including dry wall support.

Abstract: Mat washing device, method of using the mat washing device, and method of washing mats. The mat washing device includes a system that may be transported on a flat bed trailer from one location to another. The mat washing device includes conveying systems, brush systems, rails systems and control mechanisms. The mat washing device may be used by placing mat, on edge, on a conveying system and conveying the mat to a first brushing system and a second brushing system. In one aspect the first brushing system includes a cable brush having a bolt secured at the end of a cable in order to beat or brush material from the mat when the cable brush is spun.

Abstract: A jaw and a related jaw assembly, the jaw assembly having a master jaw with a longitudinal axis and top and bottom surfaces, first and second side surfaces, a master jaw bore extending longitudinally therein between the top and bottom surfaces, and a channel extending from the first side surface to the second side surface generally transverse the longitudinal axis, and a top jaw adapted to be coupled to the master jaw and defining a top jaw bore positioned in substantial alignment with the master jaw bore.

Abstract: The invention discloses a movable cradle capable of surrounding or enclosing an animal. The movable cradle may have a frame with a back end that opens and locks closed, and leg spaces or portions that bow-out from a general rectangular shape of the frame. Wheels may be attached to the frame near a back end of the cradle and near a front end of the cradle. The movable cradle may be used to train a surrounded animal.

Abstract: A trailer hitch receiver tube comprising a hollow tubular member adapted to receive a hitch bar, the tubular member including a free end, the free end defining a notch. The tube may be fitted with a lip to create a receiver box. The lip includes a tab which is positioned within the notch and accommodates tightening of an inserted bar within the tube cavity.

Abstract: A needle-beam cofferdam, needles and associated method for dry isolation of a water passage of a dam, the method comprising providing a support beam which spans between piers of the water passage, providing at least one hollow metal needle having a major axis, and positioning the hollow needle with the major axis substantially vertically oriented, the hollow needle engaging with a sill of the dam and engaging with the support beam. A plurality of vertically positioned needles may thereby isolate the water passage. The method also includes positioning of hollow needles with the major axis in a substantially horizontal orientation.

Abstract: A guardrail system and method comprises utilizing at least one through-hole of a poured concrete wall of a structure to affix a stanchion to the wall inside a bay of the structure. The stanchion allows for a guardrail to be conveniently and securely positioned within the bay without damage to the structure and without covering an edge of the structure. A fastener inserts through the through-hole which is preferably a pre-existing tie-hole resulting from formation of the wall. In one optional aspect a guardrail stanchion includes a base segment having at least two slots for receiving fasteners which insert through two tie-holes of the wall, and at least one side segment having at least one adjustment port, the side segment extending generally perpendicular to the base segment. A pair of stanchions may be affixed to opposing walls within the bay, and guardrails affixed thereto and spanning across the bay.

Abstract: An embossed carrier tape manufacturing apparatus includes features for integrating with other processing equipment so that other processes such as forming, filling, and sealing the tape can be performed sequentially in one integrated process. The apparatus includes retractable contact spot heaters for heating the tape prior to embossing, along with a unique heat shield arrangement that is interposable between the heaters and the tape so that the process may be paused. Also, a synchronizing apparatus is integrated so that the carrier tape embossing process may be automatically paused for adjusting to the input rate of other carrier tape processing apparatus.

Abstract: A vehicle for travel on a roadway comprising a vehicle and at least one retroreflector affixed to the vehicle, at least a portion of the retroreflector having a substantially planar, substantially transparent exterior surface, the substantially planar exterior surface aligned substantially parallel to the roadway. The retroreflector is preferably mounted to an underside of the vehicle to retroreflect light from oncoming vehicles when the vehicle has tipped on a side so that an underside portion of the vehicle may be seen by an observer in the oncoming vehicle.

Abstract: A sheet material holder assembly comprising a top body having a top surface, a handle projecting generally upward from the top surface, and a first magnetic piece affixed to the top body opposite the top surface and a base having a second magnetic piece, at least a portion of the first magnetic piece aligned atop at least a portion of the second magnetic piece. The base may also include a cradle for receiving a tab of the top body which may be a straightedge having markings. A sheet material may be placed between the top body and the base for use in cutting or other use.

Abstract: A panel for connection with other panels, comprising a rectilinear base member having outer edges, a first rectilinear side member extending from one edge of the base member, the first side member having a first lip extending from an outward edge of the first side member and away from the base member, the first side member further having a second lip extending from an outward edge of the first lip and toward the base member and at an angle between about zero and 90 degrees with respect to the first lip, and a second rectilinear side member extending in substantially the same direction as the first side member, from an opposite edge of the base member, the second side member having a third lip extending toward the base member. Related structural members, enclosures, posts, spray booths and methods for assembling the same which include similar features are provided.

Abstract: A weighted glove comprising a glove having a plurality of finger portions, at least one of the finger portions including at least a first weight member positioned on a back side of the glove, and a strap secured to the at least one of the finger portions. The glove may have a pocket in which the first weight member is positioned, and the weight member may include a generally concaved cross section. A corresponding method of exercising a finger is provided.

Abstract: A universal design straightedge comprising a body having a top surface and a perimeter bounded by at least one edge, the top surface comprising evenly spaced apart linear rulings perpendicularly disposed to and extending from the edge, some of the linear rulings corresponding to a unit of measure, and some of said linear rulings corresponding to a fraction of the unit of measure, and numerical indicia associated with substantially all of the rulings, substantially all of the numerical indicia substantially centered about a centerline of respective linear rulings, the numerical indicia oriented in standard upright reading position with respect to the edge where the straightedge is arranged with the edge in an underlying relation with respect to the numerical indicia. The numerical indicia associated with the linear rulings corresponding to a fraction of the unit of measure may include a composite of full and fractional numerical indicia.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a windshield wiper clip adapted for connecting a scrubbing blade to a windshield wiper, the clip comprising a base member; a first end wall connected to the base member and a second end wall connect to the base member opposite the first end wall, a first top component to the first end wall and a second top component connected to the second end wall; at least one further top component connected to the base member, the further top component including at least one finger projection, the at least one finger projection, base member, first end wall and first top component defining a scrubber receiving portion, and at least one of the finger projections, the base member, second end wall and second top component defining a wiper receiving portion; wherein the clip connects a scrubber to a wiper in order to accommodate bug removal during movement of the wiper about a windshield. The invention also includes and integrated clip and scrubber, as well as wiper-scrubber system.

Abstract: A conveying device comprising a conveyor bed having a first end and an opposite rear end and a platform rotatably connected to the conveyor bed at the first end. The platform may be rigidly connected to a rotor of the device and the rotor may include a curved roller surface. The platform is preferably substantially offset from a pivot of the rotor. Conveying elements travel over the roller surface to accomplish a smooth extraction or retraction of the conveying elements from within the device. The device is tiltable and may accommodate loading and unloading of luggage into a cargo hold of an aircraft, for instance.

Abstract: A surveillance shield comprising a rigid, substantially inflexible mirrored plastic panel, and at least one aperture defined by the panel, the aperture positioned in the panel such that a user may peer through the aperture while carrying the shield. The shield may also include a second mirrored plastic panel, each of the plastic panels having a frame member connected at an edge portion of the panels, the panels detachably connected to each other in a vertical attitude, each of the panels having a substantially optically correct outward facing surface to reflect accurately the surrounding environment and thereby substantially conceal the appearance of the shield. Preferably the aperture is positioned such that a user is substantially concealed by the shield while the user carries the shield and simultaneously peers through the shield to observe game, people or a target.
