Abstract: A vehicle rim and lug nut assembly wherein a series of circumferentially placed lug nuts are disposed about a vehicle rim, each lug nut encased in an inner cylinder which is itself contained in an outer cylinder mounted to the rim with linear bearing means interposed between the inner and outer cylinders so that the former can rotate and slide within the latter, a spring interdisposed between the inner and outer cylinders to resist, in compression, the inward movement toward the vehicle of the inner cylinder. Each inner cylinder has a threaded receptacle on one end which receives the lug from the vehicle drum or hub and a drive opening on the other end which receives the drive anvil of an impact wrench, usually one-half (1/2) inch in size. This eliminates the loss of the lug nuts and because of the outward movement of the inner cylinder facilitates disengagement of the impact wrench.

Abstract: A device for enhancing the effectiveness of a fisherman by translating line vibration to the fisherman wherein a rod holder which has an arm member which transverses the forearm of the user utilizing a semicircular portion and a strap portion and a circular receptacle of split-ring configuration into which the handle or butt end of a fishing rod is inserted. The receptacle has a decreasing inner diameter with inwardly protruding ribs to enhance the fit of the rod handle and accommodate various sizes. The user holds the rod at a location on the handle closer to the tip than the receptacle and this provides a fulcrum at the hand location which allows tip vibration to be translated more effectively to the forearm of the user to increase the user's sensitivity or feel of the action on a lure or bait by the action of a fish or the bottom of the body of water being fished.

Abstract: A mechanical vise for holding fish hooks of various sizes while tying various imitation insect patterns thereon for use in the sport of fly fishing wherein the fish hooks are held in the teeth of the chuck which in turn can be removed or spun on a shaft connected to the base of the vise by a ball joint whereby a multiplicity of positions is achievable to allow complete access to the fly being provided and wherein material is held by a spring to allow the user complete freedom in applying said material to the hook and wherein additional hooks are stored on a magnetic pad mounted to the base.

Abstract: A window mounted temporary working platform which is totally assembled by one user from inside the window being repaired, maintained, or washed. The device provides a working platform at an elevation below the outer window sill with two side rails, an outer rail and a working platform which is supported without permanent installation on the building being serviced. The device is adjustable in width to accommodate a wide variety of window widths and is configured to provide for window with outer storm windows and window installation where the area below the inner sill is unavailable for platform support or connection due to of a heater or radiator.

Abstract: A safety apparatus for various size passengers and tandem riders on unenclosed variable speed motorized and non-motorized vehicles which includes a dual belt configuration, a primary belt worn by the driver or front passenger which girds the waist and two (2) secondary belts attached to the primary belt, each having mounted thereon a handle, the position of which is adjustable around the waist in a manner to maintain the secondary belts in equidistant positions comfortably and effectively relative to the middle of the driver or front passenger's back.

Abstract: A folding shovel with a two part concave scoop hinged at the center wherein the scoop can be folded in half wherein the handle slides into the hinge and forms the hinge pin and wherein the handle is comprised of two sections, slidingly coupled to each other so that the top section can be removed from the bottom section to allow for compact storage of the entire unit. The top section, when removed, can be attached to a receptacle on the scoop to provide a storage receptacle to allow storing the entire shovel by hanging.

Abstract: A stretchable door handle cover device constructed preferably of synthetic rubber material which resists stretching having a main body wider than the handle to be protected with an upper tab which is inserted beneath the handle base thereby fixing the device to the door handle and a lower receptacle defined in the cover into which a cup accommodatingly larger than the end of the door handle is inserted so that the body of the cover can be stretched over the handle and held in place by engaging the cup over the end of the door handle.
