  • Patent number: 4573647
Abstract: A fiber deployment mechanism for deploying a fiber at the launching of a sile to allow the fiber to be deployed without having to take the load as the missile is deployed and before the fiber is actually being paid-out from its bobbin.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 30, 1984
Date of Patent: March 4, 1986

  • Patent number: 4574132
Abstract: A general purpose expandable adhesive comprised of a spiroortho ester synthesized from the lactone, 6-caprolactone, and the diglycidyl ethers of bisphenol A and 1,4-butanediol, Cab-o-Sil thickener/thixotrope, silica (325 mesh), and Unirez 2800, amidoamino curing agent, has superior tensile strength, superior bondability and with less void formation to aluminum, steel, wood, and cured concrete as compared with a general purpose adhesive which does not contain a spiroortho ester.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: H101
Abstract: The two-color focal plane array detects a target or image a target in the traviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) simultaneously. The system is a correlation, contrast or moving target tracker with very good countermeasure capability against a ground, sea, or airborne target. The tracker/seeker can be an all solid state no-moving parts configuration with the two focal plane devices of detectors aligned in their layer so as to be at an effectively cofocal.

  • Patent number: H104
Abstract: The technique compensates the resolver's output digitally by means of a dtal processor and a predetermined resolver error characteristic. The technique uses a digitally compensated resolver which compensates by the use of a truncated Fourier series.

  • Patent number: H306
Abstract: A stoichiometric amount of a polyamine compound selected from the group cisting of cyanoethyl substituted tetraethylene pentamine (TEPAN), or the glycidol reaction product of cyanoethyl substituted tetraethylene pentamine (TEPANOL) is reacted with a stoichiometric amount of perchloric acid to yield an amine salt bonding agent useful in propellant compositions. This improved method prevents the generation of ammonia (as in prior art method) which has to be removed prior to use of amine salt bonding agent in a propellant composition. Also, a lesser amount of diluent water is involved in this method which offers an advantage by not having to strip an excessive amount of water by heat, purge, or vacuum means. The amine salt bonding agents prepared by this improved method are shown to be of like identity and quality as shown by IR spectroscopic examination and their testing in a propellant composition.
