  • Patent number: 8024306
Abstract: Provided are methods, apparatus and computer programs for enhanced access to resources within a network, including for controlling use of bandwidth-sensitive connections within a network and/or for automated recovery. Hash values are used as ‘unique’ identifiers for resources distributed across a network, and each one of a set of pool servers store the hash values for a set of computers within a LAN. When a resource is required, a hash value representing the resource can be retrieved and compared with hash values stored at a pool server to determine whether the pool server holds a matching hash value. Any such matching hash value found on the pool server represents an identification of a local copy of the required resource, because of the uniqueness property of secure ash values. The information within the pool server can be used to access the required resource.

  • Patent number: 7996800
Abstract: System and software for verifying that a model of an integrated circuit satisfies its specification includes performing a sequence of at least one sequential transformation on a sequential model of the integrated circuit to produce a simplified sequential model of the integrated circuit. Thereafter, the simplified sequential model is unfolded for N time steps to create a combinational representation of the design. A sequence of at least one combinational transformation algorithms is then performed on the unfolded design to produce a simplified unfolded model. Finally, an exhaustive search algorithm is performed on the simplified unfolded model. The sequence of sequential transformations may include a sequential redundancy removal (SRR) algorithm and/or another sequential algorithm such as a retiming transformation. The combinational transformations may include a combinational redundancy removal algorithm or a logic re-encoding algorithm.

  • Patent number: 7949008
Abstract: An audio application program is isolated from an Internet application program in a cell phone system having a processor. An operating system program, a partition manager process and the audio and Internet application programs are stored in a computer readable memory of the cell phone. The method includes executing the partition manager process, the audio application program and the Internet application program by the cell phone system processor. Executing the partition manager process includes the partition manager process controlling the audio application program executing to be associated with a first executing instance of the cell phone operating system and the Internet application program executing to be associated with a second executing instance of the cell phone operating system, so that the audio application program is isolated from the Internet application program.

  • Patent number: 7043510
Abstract: A computer implemented method (200) is described for determining the equivalence of two sets of simultaneous linear algebraic equations. Each of said equations is of a form: ei1x1+ei2x2+ei3x3+ . . . +eiixn=bi where xj are unknowns, eij are coefficients and bi are quantities, and defining the relationship between the unknowns within the set. The coefficients and quantities are known algebraic expressions. The unknowns are iteratively eliminated (250 to 280) from each of the sets of simultaneous linear algebraic equations until each of said equations are in the form: (lii)kxi=(ri)k wherein lii and ri are algebraic expressions, and k={1;2} indicate one of said sets that said equation is derived from. The products (lii)1*(ri)2 and (lii)2*(ri)1 are compared (300) for each of the unknowns. Only if the products match (310) for all the unknowns are the two sets of simultaneous linear algebraic equations equivalent (312). An apparatus (100) for performing the above method (200) is also provided.

  • Patent number: 6871210
Abstract: This invention relates to a method, system and the computer readable program product wherein the least loaded boot server is prioritized for service by a single DHCP/PXE server by maintaining a boot server allocation table (SAT) containing the existing client load count for each boot server, maintaining a client allocation table (CAT) associating each client IP address with the corresponding boot server IP address, prioritizing the boot servers by sorting said SAT in order of increasing load count whenever it is updated and providing the IP address of the boot servers in the sequence of their listing in said SAT for access whenever a client requests the DHCP.

  • Patent number: 6839677
Abstract: An internet user using a browser (10) connects to a first server (30) and conducts transactions at the site (30). The user is transferred to a second server (32) along with data relating to the transactions via the user's browser program (10). A digital signature is added to the data prior to transfer. Before the user can access the second server (32), the digital signature is verified, thus promoting security and integrity of the transaction.
