    Abstract: A novel DC rotary electric machine of permanent magnet field type is disclosed, in which a plurality of permanent field magnets having an auxiliary pole of magnetic material are arranged alternately with a plurality of field magnets including only a magnetic material along the peripheral direction. The field magnets with the auxiliary poles are arranged adjacently with the field magnets of magnetic material with through bolts extending therebetween.
