  • Patent number: 6099675
Abstract: An adhesive tape is applied to an article covered with a resist pattern. The article with the adhesive tape applied thereto is rapidly cooled to form cracks in the resist pattern on the surface of the article to weaken the cohesion between the resist pattern and the surface of the article. After the cooling, the adhesive tape is separated from the article, whereby the resist pattern is removed with the adhesive tape from the surface of the article.

  • Patent number: 6063112
Abstract: A treatment kit having an intraluminal prosthesis that treats an intracorporeal lumen. The kit includes, in addition to the expandable prosthesis, a catheter that is introduced inside the lumen. A radially expanding device and an envelope surround the prosthesis when the prosthesis is in a contracted configuration. Two extremities of the envelope are attached to form a single unit with the catheter. The envelope incorporates a flexible sheath that can form a compressed configuration and an extended configuration. The sheath comes into external contact with an internal wall of the intracorporal lumen and detaches itself from the remainder of the envelope.

  • Patent number: 6053936
Abstract: A portable light treatment device is capable of delivering the illumination which is sufficient in amount but mild to the subject's eyes for assuring effective light treatment without unduly annoying the subject. The device has a surface illuminating unit having an effective surface region of at least 15 cm.sup.2 which emits a visible diffused light of reduced luminance variation. The light is selected to give an illuminance of at least 2000 LUX measured at an eye position of the subject. A mount member is provided to mount the surface illuminating unit to a portion adjacent to eyes of the subject to direct the diffused light to the eyes of the subject. Thus arranged portable illumination device has an advantage of delivering sufficient amount of the light to the subject's eyes without dazzling the subject and therefore administering effective treatment without imposing severe restrictions to the subject's daily activities.

  • Patent number: 6051776
Abstract: A solar battery cell of a back-electrode type is used to enhance the photo-electric efficiency in which the electrical connecting structure for the solar battery cell is simplified, and the deterioration of connected portions can be prevented. The solar battery cell of a back-electrode type having second electrodes on the back thereof, are placed on and fixed to a board having first electrodes on its surface, so that the first electrodes and the second electrodes are electrically connected to each other. Output terminals are connected to the first electrodes on the board outside of and to the side of the solar battery cell, by soldering. A truncated conical light guide having a larger diameter-end face serving as a light receiving end face is placed on and fixed to a surface of the solar battery cell with the light receiving end face disposed in the vicinity of the focal point of the lens.
