Abstract: A pair of upwardly projecting, readily displaceable, push-up handles which are selectively mountable on the lateral bars of a wheelchair framework. The handle mounting means for each side includes a tubular member that is fixed between the upper and lower rigid frame members of the wheelchair via a pair of dual U-ring interconnecting bracket means which secures the first tubular member to the frame members in a variable inclined position mode. A second tubular member of an outer diameter somewhat reduced and is adapted at its one longitudinal end to engage telescopically the open upper longitudinal end of the first member. At the upper longitudinal end of the second member is optionally located, a replaceable resilient gripping means.
