  • Patent number: 6370819
Abstract: A plant watering system in accordance with the present invention includes a container having a bottom formed with a plurality of drain openings and a plurality of leg structures. Each leg structure has a lower section which is separated from an upper section by an abutment structure. The leg structures are formed of a material that provides sufficient structural integrity for supporting the container and the associated soil and plant therein. The upper section of each leg structure is inserted into a respective opening to thereby engage the abutment structure with the bottom of the container. The container is then placed in a reservoir of water. With this configuration, the lower sections of the leg structures extend into water. The leg structures draw water from the reservoir and deliver the water to the soil and plant roots. At the same time, the leg structures function to space-apart the reservoir from the container to prevent direct contact between the container bottom and the water.

  • Patent number: 6356084
Abstract: A cable tester is provided having a receive unit comprising a cylindrical housing with open ends, a connector which is attached to one open end, and a plurality of light-emitting diodes (LED's) which are mounted within the other end and are electrically connected to the connector. The connector is attached to the end of a cable to be tested. For cables having phantom power, the phantom power energizes the connector and LED's, and the LED's illuminate in a predetermined manner according to the operating condition of the cable. Utilizing the phantom power, the tester is able to indicate whether the cable being tested is functional and, if not, what specifically is wrong with the audio cable, even when only one end of the cable is accessible. In the event the cable does not have phantom power, and provided the other end is also accessible, the tester is further provided with a send unit having a voltage source which is connected to the other end of the cable.

  • Patent number: 6343709
Abstract: A impact resistant, sealable canister is provided comprising a wall structure having a lower edge portion joined to a base. A receiving collar is joined to an opposing top edge portion of the wall structure. The receiving collar includes an annular channel and an inner shoulder having fastener pads. The pads have fastener openings and stationary connector elements. A container lid releasably seals against the collar by operation of fastener parts retained in the lid that engage the collar connector elements. Gasket materials adjacent the collar periphery and around the fastener parts function to provide a reusable sealed canister useful for water activities and other outdoor involvements.

  • Patent number: 6235656
Abstract: A cluster tool includes a block which is formed with an inner high vacuum chamber, at least two loadlock chambers that are in fluid communication with the high vacuum chamber, and at least two slot valves for selectively isolating each loadlock chamber from the high vacuum chamber. The cluster tool also includes a high vacuum pump that is connected to the high vacuum chamber and a water pump comprising a refrigeration unit and a cryoplate. The cryoplate is cooled by the refrigeration unit and projects into the high vacuum chamber between the loadlock chambers. Selective operation of the slot valves allows a single water pump to serve a plurality of loadlock chambers. Each loadlock chamber includes a refrigerated platen that projects into the loadlock chamber, a heat lamp assembly that radiates into the loadlock chamber, and a tray for holding the wafer therein. The platen has a cooling system for selectively cooling the wafer, and selective radiation of the heat lamp assembly degasses the wafer.

  • Patent number: 6223446
Abstract: The present invention provides a small, simple and easy-to-use elevation checking and measuring device that can also be used to measure points to the same level as a known point. The invention comprises a primary housing and secondary casing which contain tape measuring blades. The primary housing has opposing sidewalls each of which may include a vertical slot. The slots are designed to mate with projections extending from the secondary casing. The slots and projections provide alternative angular orientations of the housing and casing when connected together. The primary housing contains level indicators to determine when it is held level. It also includes a light source that illuminates a target at the end of the primary housing blade. Maintaining the beam on the target while using the level indicators to achieve a horizontal orientation of the primary assembly, thereby permits a user to make quick and accurate grade or height measurements with the tape measure blades.
