Abstract: A pipe hanger assembly adapted to be suspended from a support or the like for supporting a pipe or the like, in which the pipe hanger assembly comprises a washer member having a first aperture therethrough for receiving the support, the washer member also including additional aperture means for receiving the respective opposite ends of a flexible multi-strand metal cable which receives the pipe or duct member being supported. Each end of the cable has secured thereto a corresponding end sleeve member which serves to retain the cable on the washer member. The metal cable is preferably coated or sheathed with an insulating and cushioning material along at least the portion of its length which engages the pipe or duct, but the ends of the cable to which the end sleeves are secured should not be coated or sheathed with the insulating material.
Abstract: A lightweight container mounted on a pallet which can be easily assembled and disassembled without any tools and which has structural integrity to hold its shape when filled with a loose material.
Abstract: A fishing line release mechanism and a mounting device for trolling at a predetermined depth and releasing the fishing line when a fish strikes the bait. The release mechanism carries a resilient disc which supports the fishing line. The disc is mounted on a hinged member which latches with the release mechanism housing. The release mechanism includes an adjustment screw to control the amount of tension required to trigger the release.
Abstract: An electrode rapping arrangement for cleaning the collecting electrodes of a pair of serially aligned electrode assemblies in an electrostatic precipitator. The rapping arrangement includes a shaft extending horizontally across the interior of the precipitator between the electrode assemblies, and a crank mounted on the shaft between each of the opposing serially aligned electrodes of the electrode assemblies. An articulated linkage is pivotally secured to each of the cranks so as to swing a hammer mounted on the end of the linkage into an associated electrode on one of the electrode assemblies when the shaft is rotated in one direction and into an opposing electrode on the other electrode assembly when the shaft is rotated in the opposite direction.
Abstract: A latticework adapted for suspension from the ceiling and forming a double channel configuration of cross members carrying a sealant for sealing the filters supported thereon.
Abstract: An underhood muffler mounted in the engine compartment of a motor vehicle supported on the turbo-charger and a resilient support supported on the engine.
Abstract: A rear wheel drive vehicle is converted to a four-wheel drive vehicle by operation of a hydraulically operated clutch which is controlled by a hydraulic valve. The hydraulic valve is spring biased to a clutch disengaged position and is hydraulically actuated to its clutch engaged position through operation of a pilot valve circuit which includes an electrically operated solenoid valve. The pilot valve circuit includes a flow restrictor providing modulated flow thereby affording a controlled pressure rise in the clutch whereby a smooth engagement of the front wheel drive is achieved.
Abstract: A transmission shift mechanism having straight line movement. The shift control operates a single shift rail carrying two shift forks to provide three speeds and a neutral position.
Abstract: An attachment for an exhaust pipe. A rolled bead of the exhaust pipe is formed on its outer periphery providing a seal with a turbo-charger outlet flange and a clamp ring bolted around the bead. The exhaust pipe is adapted for supporting the muffler.
Abstract: A hand and foot throttle control linkage having independent operation of the throttle by either a hand or foot control. A return spring for the foot pedal is carried on the throttle linkage to return the foot pedal to its retracted position and to reduce the application force during operating of the hand throttle lever.
Abstract: An adjustable position control lever stop in a control console of a tractor. The control levers operate a draft load sensing system through a three-point hitch between the tractor and the implement. The control levers in the control console include a draft load sensing control lever, and a position control lever which operates with the adjustable position control lever stop.
Abstract: A gas treating system including a housing forming a duct for a gas stream having a vertical panel of flow-through evaporative media secured across the duct, a blower mounted within the duct downstream from the panel adapted to draw the gas stream through the duct, a liquid dispersal assembly connected to a liquid supply adapted to conduct an evaporative treating fluid into the panel where it evaporates into the gas stream as it flows through the panel, and humidity or temperature sensors positioned within the duct downstream from the blower operatively connected with the liquid supply to increase and decrease the flow of liquid into the panel to maintain a preselected humidity or temperature in the gas stream as it flows out of the housing.
Abstract: A clutch pedal pivoting a fore and aft shaft mounted in a fire wall for transmission of the clutch actuating force through the fire wall for disengaging and engaging a vehicle clutch.
Abstract: A swingout battery tray and step pivotally mounted on a vehicle chassis with a latch to secure the battery tray in its operating position and a releasable fastener to secure the step in its normal operating position.
Abstract: A side mounted fuel tank for a tractor having reinforced ribbing around the tank, a base support for supporting the tank, and side wall retainer reinforcement to retain its shape. A step connected between the cantilever beam supports the base support which carries the tank.
Abstract: An engine intercooler has an inlet passage receiving heated air from the turbocharger, an intercooler core and a plurality of outlet passages directing air to the engine cylinders. The housing of the intercooler is divided by the core into a plenum chamber for receiving air and an air intake chamber delivering air to the engine cylinders by way of the outlet passages. The core is supported at its opposite ends and is also supported by a perforated intermediate support plate which includes a pair of deflector surfaces directing incoming air in opposite directions to aid in distributing air evenly through all portions of the intercooler core.
Abstract: A double acting hydraulic actuator for operating in a power shift transmission. An accumulator operates with two hydraulic clutches to dampen surges in pressures and to store energy in the hydraulic system during operation of the hydraulic system.
