    Abstract: An apparatus for grinding the finish of piston rings comprises a grinding sleeve having a plurality of sleeve elements forming a cylindrical hollow member, and an adjuster to move the sleeve elements in unison in the radial direction thereof to maintain for the internal diameter of the cylindrical member substantially equal to the nominal dimension of the piston ring as the grindstones on the sleeve elements are worn down.
