Abstract: The method consists in: a user terminal issuing an access request to an access or IP service provider, the request containing user identification and authentication data with the provider and with an access and IP transport network operator, the access request being transmitted via the access network to an authentication server of the access or IP service provider; previously transmitting the access request to an authentication server of the network operator; the authentication server performing a procedure to authenticate the user on the basis of user identification data with the provider; and transmitting a response message to the user terminal, which response message contains the results of the user authentication by the authentication servers.

Abstract: An apparatus for preferential oxidation of carbon monoxide in a reformate flow includes a reactor defining a flow path for a reformate flow; at least one catalyst bed disposed along the flow path; and a distributor for distributing oxygen from an oxygen source to the at least one catalyst bed, the distributor including a conduit positioned at least one of upstream of and through the at least one catalyst bed, the conduit having a sidewall permeable to flow of oxygen from within the conduit to the at least one catalyst bed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a multi-swivel connector for a fluid operated power tool. The connector has a post with an axis, a swivel member having an axis perpendicular to the axis of the post, a mechanism for limiting rotation of the swivel member about said post axis to an arc less than 360 degrees, and a fitting member mounted to the swivel member. The fitting member is tiltable about the axis of the swivel member through at least a 90 degree arc and rotatable with the swivel member about the axis of the post.

Abstract: The invention concerns a folding roof comprising a front element and a rear element, the two elements capable of being stored in the vehicle boot, and locks for locking together the front edge of the front element to the front element of the vehicle body and the rear edge of the front element to the front edge of the rear elemen. The locks are actuated by rotating rods connected to a motor. The rotating rods and the locks are arranged such that the rotation of the motor causes the control rods to rotate simultaneously and the locks to be engaged when the roof covers the vehicle.

Abstract: An apparatus for pneumatically conveying powder substances in a pipe system, wherein a volume is sucked in with reduced pressure and discharged with increased pressure for being passed further along, characterized in that the apparatus has within the pipe system at least one metering chamber which can be alternately filled and emptied by way of control member for metering the powder substance.

Abstract: A snow plow assembly broadly comprises a snow plow blade, a frame for mounting the snow plow blade to a vehicle, and a boom connected to the frame and the snow plow blade. The assembly also includes a lift system for raising and lowering the boom, which lift system includes a lift cable attached to the frame and the boom. The assembly also includes a system for maintaining the lift cable taut so that the snow plow blade remains substantially level during use.

Abstract: A container, desirably blow molded or extrusion molded, said container having barrier properties and including an upper wall portion having an opening, an intermediate sidewall portion positioned beneath the upper wall portion, and a base portion positioned beneath the intermediate sidewall portion to support the container. The container includes a molded first layer having an inner surface and an outer surface formed from high density polyethylene, and a carbon coating formed on the inner surface of the first layer and adhered thereto and substantially coextensive with the first layer, wherein said carbon coating has a thickness of less than about 10 microns.

Abstract: A personal shelter device including a foldable outer structure convertible between a poncho configuration and a tent configuration, wherein when the structure is in the poncho configuration, the structure has a poncho front and a poncho rear so as to form a wearable garment and wherein when the structure is in the tent configuration the structure has a tent top, a tent base and a tent front, so as to form a shelter device which defines an enlargeable internal cavity for sheltering a plurality of human beings and at least one supporting member for independently supporting the device when the structure is in the tent configuration, the supporting member being configurable between a compact position for storage when the structure is in the poncho configuration and an extended position for supporting the structure when the structure is in the tent configuration so as to form a self supporting structure.
