Abstract: There is provided a tin-plated product which has a small deterioration of contact resistance with age, an excellent wear resistance and a low coefficient of friction. A coating of a composite material, which contains 0.1 to 1.0 wt % of carbon particles dispersed in a tin layer and which has a thickness of 0.5 to 10.0 ?m, preferably 1.0 to 5.0 ?m, is formed as the outermost layer of a substrate. Thus, the coefficient of dynamic friction between the tin-plated products of the same kind is 0.20 or less, and the coefficient of dynamic friction between the tin-plated product and a reflow tin-plated product is 0.20 or less, while the contact resistance is 1 m? or less.

Abstract: A process for hydroprocessing a hydrocarbon feed with a known flow rate of hydrogen-containing gas and a volume of catalyst, includes the steps of providing a hydrocarbon feed having an initial characteristic; feeding the hydrocarbon feed and a first portion of the hydrogen-containing gas cocurrently to a first hydroprocessing zone containing a first portion of the catalyst so as to provide a first hydrocarbon product; providing an additional hydroprocessing zone containing a remainder of the catalyst; feeding the first hydrocarbon product cocurrently with a remainder of the hydrogen-containing gas to the additional hydroprocessing zone so as to provide a final hydrocarbon product having a final characteristic which is improved as compared to the initial characteristic, wherein the first portion of the hydrogen-containing gas is between about 30 and about 80% vol. of the known flow rate of the hydrogen-containing gas, and the first portion of the catalyst is between about 30 and about 70% wt.

Abstract: A sports vision training device is formed from a piece of material having a thickness sufficient to interfere with an individual's ability to look down at a sporting object. The piece of material has an adhesive coating or layer for positioning the material on an individual's cheek, preferably beneath an individual's eye, so that the piece of material interferes with the individual's ability to look down at the sporting object. The sports vision training device has a thickness sufficient to direct the individual's vision toward the field of play and up and toward at least one player on the field of play, and in some cases permitting intermittent and/or momentary glances at the sports object being controlled by the individual.
Abstract: An aluminum alloy comprising Al, Sc, Gd, Zr, and optionally Mg. The aluminum alloy is strengthened by an aluminum solid solution matrix and a dispersion of Al3X precipitate having an L12 structure where X comprises Sc, Gd and Zr. Mg is a preferred addition to the alloy containing Gd and Zr. The alloying additions control strengthening and coarsening kinetics of the alloy through control of diffusivity in the aluminum matrix and coherency strain of the Al3X precipitate.
Abstract: A dispenser includes an outer housing having a top defining an applicator surface and at least one dispensing opening in the applicator surface; and an inner housing defining a product space and having a top comprising at least one passage and at least one vane structure, the top being substantially adjacent to the dispensing opening of the outer housing, wherein the inner housing is rotatable relative to the outer housing around an axis so as to sequentially position the inner housing and the outer housing in an open position wherein the at least one passage of the inner housing is aligned with the at least one dispensing opening of the outer housing, and a closed position wherein the at least one vane structure of the inner housing is aligned with and blocks the at least one dispensing opening in the outer housing.

Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, a process for repairing metal workpieces, such as turbine engine components, is provided. The process comprises the steps of forming a braze paste containing a first nickel base alloy material containing boron and chromium and a second nickel base alloy material containing chromium and cobalt, applying the brazing paste to an area of the metal workpiece containing at least one crack, and subjecting the workpiece and the brazing paste to a brazing cycle by heating the brazing paste and the workpiece, preferably to a temperature in the range of from 2000 to 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. During the brazing cycle, the brazing paste flows into and fills the at least one crack and thus repairs the metal workpiece.
