Abstract: A compressor (20) has an unloading slide valve (100). The valve has a valve element (102) having a range between a first condition and a second condition, the second condition being unloaded relative to the first condition. A piston (124) is in a cylinder (128) and mechanically coupled to the valve element. A control valve (140) is coupled to a headspace (138) of the cylinder to selectively expose the headspace to a flu source (144), pressure of fluid in the headspace producing a force on the piston and valve element in a direction from the second condition toward the first condition. The compressor includes a pressure relief valve coupling (180) in the headspace to suction conditions to unload the compressor responsive to an overpressure.
Abstract: An array of blades for use in an engine includes a disk having a slot, a pair of rails adjacent the slot and extending above an upper surface of the slot, and a pair of shoulders located outside the rails. A plurality of radially loaded blades are inserted into the slot. A plurality of snaps overhang the rails and rest on the shoulders. Each of the blades is positioned between a pair of snap seals and overlaps a side edge of each one of the pair of snap seals.

The cluster includes a cooling passageway system including one or more first feed passageways in the first airfoil and one or more second feed passageways in the second airfoil. At least a first side selected from the pressure side of the first airfoil and the suction side of the second airfoil includes a first region with a local thinning or gap in the coating. Along the first side, the cooling passageway system includes means for locally cooling said first region.

Abstract: A surgical suture material and a method to the use thereof are represented by different needles and surgical threads. The main embodiments comprises a needle (6), consisting of two needles (7, 8) jointed by a temporary connection having a tetrahedral, diamond or another shape in such a way that a single needle point (9) is formed, and a surgical thread (10) provided with shaped design projections embodied on the thread surface in the form of notches. The shaped design of the notches has a very important significance since it makes it possible to provide a reliable linkage with soft tissues and to forcedly holding the soft tissues when force actions are applied thereto. The method consists in introducing, during a surgical intervention, the twin needle in one puncture at a small depth, wherein the needle is divided into two needles, and in leading each needle along a required contour. The surgical suture material can be extensively used for surgical and cosmetic interventions.
