Abstract: A channel assigning method for ad-hoc networks, which uses an intra-cluster bandwidth reserving procedure, including six phases of reservation request RREQ, reservation response RRSP, code assignment CASN, code conflict detection CCD, code conflict report CCR and code confirmation CCFM, and an inter-cluster RTS-CTS (request to send-clear to send) dialogue protocol to generate a TDMA time slot and select an assignment code, thereby supporting real-time traffic and associated QoS guarantee in a multi-hop ad-hoc network.

Abstract: The present invention is to provide method and apparatus for adapting a GBIC module to an Ethernet switch capable of outputting one of different voltages in which in a case of the GBIC module coupled to the Ethernet switch, a DC converter of the GBIC module is adapted to lower an input voltage thereof supplied by the Ethernet switch prior to boosting the lowered voltage to an operating voltage required by a GBIC logic circuit of the GBIC module without confirming whether the input voltage has the same value as the operating voltage. Thus, the present invention can prevent the GBIC module from not working due to low input voltage or being damaged due to high current when the GBIC module is coupled to the Ethernet switch.

Abstract: An integrated type probe card includes a circuit space converter having first and second contacts arranged at different density at two sides, probes connected to the contacts at one side of the circuit space converter that are arranged at a high density probes; a spring connector plate, which holds metal spring members in respective receiving holes thereof, a circuit board pressed on the metal spring members against the contacts at the other side of the circuit space converter that are arranged at a low density, and a level adjustment mechanism that accommodates the probes, the circuit space converter, the spring connector plate and the circuit board and enables the user to adjust the level status of the circuit space converter, keeping the circuit space converter electrically connected to the circuit board for transmitting test signal from the probes to the circuit board.

Abstract: A method of downloading application programs on the editing system platform of an electronic communication apparatus, includes the step of connecting an electronic communication apparatus to the Internet, the step of driving an editing system of a processor of the electronic communication apparatus to define a total area from a memory thereof for use by the application programs to be downloaded from the Internet, for enabling the application programs to be stored in any address within the total area, the step of driving the editing system to directly correct the operating instruction of direct address searching to the correct address when downloading an application program from the Internet and then to search the address after address correction, and the step of using a software interrupt (SWI) to alternate the operating instruction of indirect address searching so as to obtain the desired correct address for the editing system for further indirect address searching operation.

Abstract: This invention relates to a case with a variable capacity, comprising a central part (10) which has two stable frame halves (20,30) hinged to one another which serve as supports for a single pair of various size sheet pairs (41,42;51,52) defining the interior of the case, the shells (41,42;51,52) being detachably connected to the frame halves (20,30) of the central part (10), so that shells of different depths may be used together with the same central part. The invention also relates to a set of cases, comprising a central part and two or several pairs of shells.
