Abstract: A method of concentrating and recovering an enzyme activity from enveloped viruses present in a biological sample, is described. The method comprises contacting the biological sample in a first buffer solution with a virus-binding matrix, such as an anion exchanger matrix, to attach virus particles present in the sample to the matrix, washing the matrix carrying the virus particles with a second buffer solution to remove components interfering with viral enzyme activity, lysing the immobilized virus particles in a third buffer solution and recovering the concentrated viral enzyme activity from the third buffer solution. Additionally, a commercial package containing written and/or data carrier instructions for performing laboratory steps for concentration and recovery of an enzyme activity from enveloped viruses present in a biological sample and at least one component necessary for the assay, is disclosed.

Abstract: A method and apparatus to monitor filling insertion in a weaving machine. A filling (3, 4) is severed during insertion by a filling-scissors (15), and the actual time at which the filling (3, 4) is severed is detected.
Abstract: A lock for locking electronic equipment such as computers and their peripheral devices, is composed of a lock assembly and a cable securely connected with the lock assembly, wherein the lock assembly includes a body with two movable retaining members provided therein, a lock core received in a back cover which is securely combined with the body, and two fastening rods respectively running through the lock assembly corresponding to two screw holes defined at opposite sides of a standard port of equipment. When the fastening rods are respectively engaged into the screw holes of the port, a user can easily lock the lock assembly with a key to remove the retaining members outwards to retain the fastening rods fixedly, whereby the lock is locked with the port.
Abstract: An actuating mechanism is disclosed for a thrust reverser of a turbojet engine having an engine cowling with a reverse thrust opening, a thrust reverser door pivotally connected to the engine cowling so as to pivot between forward and reverse thrust positions, and a linear actuator having a casing with an extendable and retractable piston rod. The piston rod is connected to the thrust reverser by a first connection forming a first connection point. An interface bracket is fixedly attached to the turbojet engine structure and engages a mounting flange in a connector affixed to the actuator casing at a second connection point, the mounting flange being in contact with the interface bracket at a third connection point, the first, second and third connection points lying in a straight line.
