Abstract: A method for resource management and planning includes receiving manufacturing information associated with multiple distributed enterprise facilities; generating manufacturing plans based at least in part on the manufacturing information; receiving feedback regarding execution of the manufacturing plans; identifying at least one of the manufacturing plans describing manufacturing activities planned to occur within a fixed time period in the future; modifying the identified manufacturing plan based on the feedback; and communicating the modified manufacturing plan to the distributed enterprise facilities.

Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing problems and disadvantages associated with traditional approaches to providing dedicated network interface card access are provided. An information handling system may include a processor, a memory communicatively coupled to the processor, a non-dedicated network interface communicatively coupled to the processor, a dedicated network interface, and a baseboard management controller. The non-dedicated network interface may have a first sideband interface. The dedicated network interface may have a second sideband interface communicatively coupled to the first sideband interface. The baseboard management controller may be communicatively coupled to the second sideband interface.

Abstract: In manufacturing a display device which includes a display panel, a touch panel mounted on a surface side of the display panel, and a cover body having an open portion in which the touch panel is held, an edge peripheral portion of the touch panel is welded to a brim portion of the open portion of the cover body by melting the brim portion of the open portion of the cover body such that the brim portion has a large thickness compared to a portion around the brim portion thus forming a thick wall portion having a large thickness compared to the portion around the thick wall portion and a mounting portion on which the edge peripheral portion of the touch panel is mounted on the brim portion of the opening of the touch panel.

Abstract: Determining presence status associated with a user includes receiving presence statuses of endpoints associated with a first user. It is determined whether an endpoint exhibits significant activity. If an endpoint exhibits significant activity, it is determined whether any other endpoint is co-located with that endpoint. An aggregate presence status is generated from the presence status of the at least one endpoint and presence status of the other endpoint.

Abstract: An image processor includes a storing unit, an image determining unit, and an output unit. The storing unit stores a selecting condition. The image determining unit determines whether the image corresponding to the set of the image data satisfies the selecting condition. The output unit outputs an image list including either one of the image that is determined to satisfy the selecting condition by the image determining unit and a resized image resized from the image that is determined to satisfy the selecting condition by the image determining unit.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, an apparatus for treating a breathing condition includes an oral appliance, a mask, and a tensioning device. The oral appliance is configured to receive at least some of a wearer's teeth and a mask. The mask is configured to deliver gas to the wearer. The mask includes a chamber configured to cover the wearer's mouth. The chamber is at least partially enclosed by an interior of the mask. The tensioning device couples the mask to the oral appliance and includes a flexible tension element at least partially disposed between the oral appliance and the mask and within the chamber. The flexible tension element is configured to apply a tensile force between the mask and the oral appliance.

Abstract: A liquid cartridge determination system includes a liquid cartridge including a main body including a first detect portion. The system also includes a movable member positioned outside the liquid chamber and configured to move relative to the main body in a particular direction. The movable member includes a second detect portion. Moreover, the system includes a resilient member having a first end which is coupled to the main body and a second end which is coupled to the movable member, and a mounting portion configured to receive the liquid cartridge thereon.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for performing transcoding in video communication system that use scalable video coding. The systems and methods can be used to transcode or convert input signals having certain characteristics into desired output signals having different characteristics requirements. The systems and methods are based on compressed domain processing, partial decoding-reencoding, or full decoding-reencoding with side information, depending on the specific characteristics of the input and desired output signals.

Abstract: A display control apparatus includes a main body and a display unit with a touch panel. The display control apparatus further includes a memory that stores a plurality of detection condition parameters for detecting a touch operation to the touch panel. The plurality of detection condition parameters are corresponding to each of a plurality of locations or a plurality of orientations of the touch panel. The display control apparatus further includes a state detector that detects a current location or a current orientation of the touch panel. The display control apparatus still further includes a condition selector that selects one of the plurality of detection condition parameters corresponding to the current location or the current orientation. Moreover, the display control apparatus includes a touch determiner that determines a touch to the touch panel by using the selected one of the plurality of detection condition parameters.

Abstract: A kit for providing front-access cable terminations for rear-access shelf unit mounted in a rack system may comprise a terminal block panel, a terminal block, a set of extension cables, a rear panel, and a baffle. The terminal block panel may be configured to mount to the shelf unit. The terminal block may be mounted to the terminal block panel to provide front-access terminations for the shelf unit. The set of extension cables may provide electrical connection between the terminal block and one or more terminals disposed on a back plane associated with the shelf unit. The rear panel may be configured to attach to the shelf unit and to cover the set of extension cables. The baffle may be configured for installation in the rack system above the shelf unit and removable for access to the front-access terminations. The baffle may be configured to direct air flow rising from the rear-access equipment to the rear of the rack.

Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing latency on a remotely-booted information handling system are disclosed. A method for access and management of remote data may include receiving from a host a standard input-output instruction including a persistent image update (PIU) parameter indicating a request by the host to access a shared computer-readable medium storing an image shared by the host and one or more other hosts. The method may further include determining a value of the PIU parameter and determining whether to allow the host to access the shared computer readable medium based at least on the value of the PIU parameter.

Abstract: A system for controlling the temperature of a rack includes a connecting plenum configured to receive incoming cooling air from outside a rack for cooling the rack; a front plenum connected to the connecting plenum and configured to receive cooling air from the connecting plenum and deliver the cooling air to the rack, the cooling air being warmed by powered electrical components as it passes through the rack; at least one ventilator for recycling warmed cooling air from the rack back to the connecting plenum to be mixed with incoming cooling air; a sensor for sensing temperature of air in the rack; and a controller for controlling the at least one ventilator based at least on the sensed temperature.

Abstract: According to one embodiment of the invention a method of updating schema in a directory system having a reference layer adapted to provide directory functionality and an intermediate layer adapted to provide supplemental directory functionality is provided. The intermediate layer is provided between the reference layer and the client is provided. The method includes determining that a new attribute type is not defined in a schema associated with the system, and in response, registering the new attribute type in the schema.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a first input stream, generating a first clock, sampling the first input stream based on the first clock, detecting a first phase difference between the first input stream and the first clock to generate a clock-correction signal and a first select signal, and generating a first recovered stream based on the first select signal. The method may additionally include receiving a second input stream, generating a second clock, sampling the second input stream based on the second clock, detecting a second phase difference between the second input stream and the second clock to generate a clock-correction signal and a second select signal, and generating a second recovered stream based on the second select signal. The method may further include adjusting the clocks based on the first and second clock-correction signals and combining the first and second recovered data streams to generate an output.

Abstract: A node device connected to other node devices has a particular obtaining unit that obtains search information including, a first determination unit that applies a predetermined rule to determine whether the search information obtained by the particular obtaining unit is required to be stored in the node device. The node device has a first storage unit that stores search information when required, and a second determination unit that determines whether the search information obtained by the particular obtaining unit is newly published in the network. A second storage unit stores the search information when the second determination unit determines that the storage information is newly published. A search unit searches the content data, based on the search information stored in at least one of the first storage unit and the second storage unit.

Abstract: Pneumatic particulate material fill systems and methods are disclosed. A particulate material fill system includes a cyclone separator having an inlet adapted to receive pneumatically conveyed particulate material. The cyclone separator has a first outlet adapted to vent air and a second outlet adapted to discharge solids. The particulate material fill system includes a tank adapted to receive solids discharged from the cyclone separator via the second outlet. The tank is adapted for use at atmospheric pressure.

Abstract: Roller cone drill bits operable to form a borehole. A number of support arms may extend from each drill bit. A cutter cone assembly may be mounted on each support arm. A number of cutting elements or inserts may be disposed on an exterior surface of a cone assembly. A lifting surface may be formed on each support arm extending between a leading edge and a trailing edge of each support arm such that the lifting surfaces directs cuttings upward in a borehole. A wedge shaped portion may be formed on each support arm proximate the lifting surface and the trailing edge. An inlet to each lifting surface may be formed on the leading edge of each support arm.

Abstract: A system and method for coupling a subscription to a registration in a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) environment includes creating a first registration-coupled subscription to initiate registration of a communication session and to initiate a subscription to an event package. The first registration-coupled subscription is transmitted, and a response is received to the first registration-coupled subscription, wherein the response confirms the subscription to the event package.

Abstract: An apparatus for signaling information in a network environment is provided that includes an access gateway operable to establish one or more packet data protocol (PDP) links on behalf of an end user. The access gateway is operable to communicate a message associated with a change in quality of service, locale, or policy enforcement relating to a selected one of the PDP links to a client services packet gateway (CSPG). The CSPG responds to the message by providing an accounting command for the selected PDP link such that synchronization is achieved between accounting information and a state associated with the selected PDP link.
