  • Patent number: 7534057
Abstract: A surveillance camera gimbal mechanism. The mechanism utilizes a rotationally adjustable disk and support arrangement to afford smoothly adjustable, fastener-free, and stable diagonal adjustment that also provides axial compliance. The diagonal adjustment mechanism is integrated with a pan and tilt gimbal mechanism to allow smooth and stable single-point manual fixation of pan and tilt positions without creating depressions in the mating parts which make readjustment difficult.

  • Patent number: 7531124
Abstract: A blow mold is disclosed. The mold comprises a pair of mold halves having an operative configuration wherein said mold halves together define a cavity for a container. The container has a main body and a characteristic selected from the group of characteristics consisting of: a push-up base; an integral finish; and an embossed or a debossed feature. Each of the pair of mold halves has a first portion and a second portion formed integrally with the first portion. When the pair of mold halves is in the operative configuration, the first portions collectively define the main body and the second portions collectively define the characteristic. The blow mold can be used for prototyping, and can also be used for production.

  • Patent number: 7527009
Abstract: A method for damping of the rolling motion of a water vehicle, in particular roll stabilization of a ship with at least one propeller, comprising a rotating wheel body, which bears axis parallel blades on the outer circumference, the blades being pivoted around their longitudinal axis. The rolling motion of the water vehicle by modification of the pitch a thrust is generated which counteracts the rolling motion. The modification of the pitch for generation of a counterthrust takes place optionally in the recording of a quantity characterizing the rolling motion of the ship or a signal for activation of the roll stabilization in dependency on a default value of the current transverse pitch set on the blades.

  • Patent number: 7526298
Abstract: The invention concerns a procedure and a structure to handle short messages under phone number portability between multiple telecommunications networks, where the phone numbers do not permit an unambiguous linkage of the user to a specific telecommunication network and where several attempts at delivery of the short messages are normally required. In order to accelerate routing in subsequent attempts at delivery and to avoid unnecessary routing queries, the invention proposes that all or part of the parameters or data associated with the first attempt at delivery, particularly the target information, be preferably stored in the SMSC or the SMS-GMSC in order to be reused, at least in part, in subsequent attempts at delivery.

  • Patent number: 7523989
Abstract: A corner unit for an article of sectional furniture. In an exemplary embodiment, the corner unit includes a frame having a plurality of frame members. The frame may include two internal frame members which are disposed substantially perpendicular to each other. The internal frame members provide rigidity and strength to the frame without requiring other angled cuts and connections for the frame. The frame may also include a cover assembly which provides a seat and at least one storage compartment. The frame members may be interconnected by interlocking protrusions and cutout portions, as well as by threaded fasteners received in push-in connector elements which are held in recesses within the frame members.

  • Patent number: 7524810
Abstract: This invention provides modified, insecticidal Cry34 proteins with enhanced properties as compared to wild-type Cry34 proteins. The modifications to these proteins were based in part on an analysis of the three-dimensional (3D) structure of this protein and other proteins in the Cry34 class. The subject invention also includes polynucleotides that encode these modified proteins, and transgenic plants that produce these modified proteins. This invention further provides methods of controlling plant pests, including rootworms, with these modified proteins. The modified proteins of the subject invention include chimeric toxins involving exchanged segments, domains, and motifs as discussed herein. The subject invention also provides methods of modifying Cry34 proteins.

  • Patent number: 7524415
Abstract: The invention concerns a plant comprising, on a vertical axis, a homogenizing vessel (1) followed by a settling vessel (2) and a flocculating vat (3). The homogenizing vessel (1) is fed by tangential intake (92) of the effluent and the input (611) and the output (612) of the upper tube (61) comprise a helical guide (613, 614) for driving the effluent in rotation. The lower tube (62) of larger diameter than that of the upper tube (61) is terminated by an outlet in the form of an upside-down cone (622) with reduced cross-section (621). The lower portion (31) of the flocculation vat (3) is truncated, with an apex angle, smaller than that of the upper portion (32), said lower portion (31) being parallel to the cone of the outlet of the lower tube (62), and anti-backflow cones (7, 8) surround the conduit (6) in the settling vessel (2).
