  • Patent number: 7500831
Abstract: A fan (10) is disclosed having an electric motor (13) which rotatably drives an annular array of blade irons (14) each having a blade (15) mounted thereto. Each blade iron has a motor mounting portion (21) configured to be coupled with the electric motor for rotation. The motor mounting portion has an arcuate, vertical wall (26) and a horizontal flange (27). The horizontal flange has a first mounting hole (28) and an oblong second mounting hole (29). A first mounting screw (31) having a first bushing or bearing (32) thereon passes through each first mounting hole and into a threaded mounting hole (34) in the motor (13). Similarly a second mounting screw (35) having a second bushing or bearing (36) thereon passes through each second mounting hole and into a threaded mounting hole (37) in the motor. With this configuration the blade iron can pivot relative to the motor.

  • Patent number: 7484390
Abstract: A lockable strike for walk-in cold rooms includes a housing that includes a recessed well with openings positioned on opposing sides thereof to accept a locking device therethrough and a deadbolt moveably engaged therein to reciprocally move along a path of travel between an extended position and a retracted position with respect to the housing; and a knob rotatably mounted within the recessed well and having an opening through a handle thereof positioned relative to the openings in the housing to further accept the locking device therethrough thereby preventing the rotation of the knob in a first position, wherein the handle can engage the locking device when it is inserted through the openings in the housing thereby preventing the rotation of the knob in a second position, and the knob is in communication with the deadbolt to move the deadbolt between the extended position and the retracted position when the knob is rotated.

  • Patent number: 7470043
Abstract: A ventilation fan and light (10) is disclosed which includes a housing (12) and a light kit (13). The housing (12) includes an air intake 15 adjacent the light kit and an air exhaust port (16) coupled to an exhaust duct (17). The light kit has one or more light sources (20). A motorized fan (19) is mounted within the housing. The motorized fan is operated at a low speed whenever the light source is illuminated and a high speed whenever ventilation is required. The operation of the fan at a low speed prevents the build-up of heat within the housing. The ventilation fan includes an electric circuit (22) which includes a capacitor mounted between a light source electrical branch (23) and a fan motor electrical branch (24).

  • Patent number: 7413410
Abstract: A ceiling fan blade is disclosed that is twisted rather than flat and has a graduated dihedral. The dihedral is provided for a wider distribution of divergence of air in the space beneath the fan. The blade (10) is demarked to have three sections which include a mounting section (11) and two airflow sections (12) and (13). The two airflow sections (12) and (13) are twisted with the rate of twist from the root end to the tip end being nonuniform. The twist or ratio of the degree increase in the angle of attack over each inch in length deceases from root end to the tip end.
