Abstract: The invention relates to a piezoelectric actuation structure including at least one strain gauge and at least one actuator produced from a stack on the surface of a substrate of at least one layer of piezoelectric material arranged between a bottom electrode layer and a top electrode layer, at least a portion of the stack forming the actuator being arranged above a cavity produced in the substrate, characterized in that the strain gauge is a piezoresistive gauge located in the top electrode layer and/or the bottom electrode layer, the layer or layers including electrode discontinuities making it possible to produce said piezoresistive gauge. The invention also relates to a method for producing such a structure.

Abstract: The invention relates to a calculation device providing means for estimating an indication of integrity of a satellite navigation system, including a means for estimating in real time, by measuring data calculated by the navigation system, an indication of integrity of the system with respect to very low-probability location errors, the device including a means for receiving data calculated by the location system, a means for estimating a model of distribution of location errors, a means for estimating parameters characterizing the distribution model, a calculation means applying the extreme values theory as a function of the parameters characterizing the distribution model enabling the modeling of the distribution of very low-probability location errors, a means for estimating in real time an indication of integrity for very low-probability location errors, and a means for transmitting in real time an indication of integrity.

Abstract: A diagnostic information converter reads an existing static diagnostic procedure in the form of a tree graph and generates a diagnostic Failure Modes and Effects Analysis that can be used in the generation of a dynamic diagnostic test plan. The converter identifies the end nodes of the graph and associates a specific failure mode with each of the end nodes. In addition, the converter traces a unique path from each end node along successive branches through one or more intermediate nodes to the root node, and from each of the paths derives an initial failure mode test including the test steps corresponding to the root node, the intermediate nodes and the end node. The converter further identifies and annotates precondition nodes that correspond to a vehicle state or condition, rather than to an actual diagnostic test step and allows a user to edit the initial failure mode tests.

Abstract: DVD-video data and DVD-audio data are recorded in a DVD-Avd disc. The DVD-audio data is composed of an audio manager having an audio manager information, an audio manager menu, a first audio title set including first audio data and a second audio title set including second audio data. The first audio data of the first audio title set is connected with audio contents included in the DVD-video data, and a real time information (RTI). pack or a still picture (SPCT) pack is included in the second audio title set. Therefore, the audio contents of the DVD-video data and the audio data of the DVD-audio data are managed by the audio manager information, and text information indicated by real time information or a still picture is displayed while reproducing the audio data. Also, DVD-video data recorded in a DVD-video disc, which is normally reproduced by using a reproducing apparatus dedicated to the DVD-video disc, can be reproduced by using a reproducing apparatus for the DVD-Avd disc.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for testing a battery connection is provided. The apparatus includes a clamp attached to a conductor for attaching the conductor to an object, a first sensor configured to detect a voltage associated with the clamp, and a second sensor configured to detect a voltage associated with the conductor at a point located distally from the clamp, the voltage detected by the first sensor and the voltage detected by the second sensor are compared. A method for testing a connection includes sensing a first voltage in a cable carrying current to at least one of two and from a connection, sensing a second voltage associated with the connection, comparing the first and second voltages, determining whether the connection is acceptable or not acceptable based on the compared voltages.

The system includes a multiple finger contact radially deformable along its axial length that may be resiliently supported in the radial direction by multiple finger contact spring rings. Abstract: A common aperture UHF/horizontally polarized low- and mid-band VHF antenna is disclosed that includes a coaxial antenna that has an inner conductor, an outer conductor, a batwing assembly mounted to the outer conductor of the coaxial antenna, and a feed line for feeding the batwing assembly separate from the coaxial antenna. The disclosed slotted coaxial antenna accomplishes simultaneous UHF and VHF broadcast.

Abstract: A nested, expandable, compact, liquid film fill sheet bundle is provided which facilitates shipment and then installation of the sheets to present a film fill pack for use in liquid cooling apparatus. The bundle includes a plurality of shingled, nested film fill sheets each having repeating, successive, area-increasing surface patterns on opposite faces thereof which complementally nest when the sheets are in bundled, shingled relationship. The sheets which are shingled are offset from the other sheets of the bundle by an amount equal to the width of each of the successive, repeating, surface area-increasing patterns in the sheets. The nested bundle is raised as a unit to the site of the fill pack where it is installed on support structure for the fill pack. The film fill sheets are then successively and sequentially expanded while carried by the fill pack support structure by shifting either one sheet with respect to the next adjacent sheet, or by shifting adjacent sheets relative to one another.
