Abstract: A multiprotocol encapsulation forward error correction (MPE-FEC) frame comprising datagrams and FEC data is shown wherein an MPE encapsulator places datagrams in MPE sections and FEC data in MPE-FEC sections. A time slicing block forms a sequence of bursts and dividing the MPE-FEC frame between bursts, such that MPE sections are sent in at least two bursts. The time slicing block adds a burst number parameter to headers of the MPE and MPE-FEC sections to enable a terminal to determine whether to expect further bursts carrying data from the MPE-FEC frame.
Abstract: A method comprises dividing a time frequency frame into a plurality of slots, the frame having one or more radio-frequency (RF) channels, determining a maximum slot length, and scheduling service data in symbols such that all service data symbols are within the maximum slot length of symbols corresponding to at least one common service part.

Abstract: Mesothelin can be used as an immunotherapeutic target. It induces a cytolytic T cell response. Portions of mesothelin which induce such responses are identified. Vaccines can be either polynucleotide- or polypeptide-based. Carriers for raising a cytolytic T cell response include bacteria and viruses. A mouse model for testing vaccines and other anti-tumor therapeutics and prophylactics comprises a strongly mesothelin-expressing, transformed peritoneal cell line.
Abstract: A multi-mode athleticism movement measurement system includes an athlete-borne acceleration sensor and an athleticism processing device to determine athleticism information based upon one or more timing measurements from the athlete-borne acceleration sensor, the athleticism information corresponding to any of multiple athleticism measurement modes available on athleticism processing device and selectable by a user. A data link between the athlete-borne acceleration sensor and the athleticism rating processing device transmits the one or more timing measurements from the athlete-borne acceleration sensor to the athleticism rating processing device.
Abstract: A precipitation-hardened stainless maraging steel which exhibits a combination of strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance comprises by weight about: 8 to 15% chromium (Cr), 2 to 15% cobalt (Co), 7 to 14% nickel (Ni), and up to about 0.7% aluminum (Al), less than about 0.4% copper (Cu), 0.5 to 2.6% molybdenum (Mo), 0.4 to less than about 0.75% titanium (Ti), up to about 0.5% tungsten (W), and up to about 120 wppm carbon (C), the balance essentially iron (Fe) and incidental elements and impurities, characterized in that the alloy has predominantly lath martensite microstructure essentially without topologically close packed intermetallic phases and strengthened primarily by a dispersion of intermetallic particles primarily of the eta-Ni3Ti phase and wherein the titanium and carbon (Ti) and (C) levels are controlled such that C can be dissolved during a homogenization step and subsequently precipitated during forging to provide a grain-pinnning dispersion.
Abstract: A store and forward (S&F) architecture is provided that supports multiple applications within an extensible network to direct information of various formats to any of multiple destinations. In the presently preferred embodiment of the invention, Java applications running on a client send non-priority data to any server on the application network or, alternatively, anywhere on a global telecommunications network such as the Internet, at some time in the future. In the preferred embodiment, S&F allows a client application to send usage statistics to a database on the application network. It also enables T-commerce purchases to be made by the user, where the purchase and other relevant information is sent to a destination web server as if the purchase had taken place on the web via a full web browser on an Internet-connected PC.

Abstract: The invention relates to an athletic glove for supporting a hand of a wearer. The soccer glove improves performance through the use a three dimensional finger cap which forms at least a portion of at least one digit of the wearer's hand.
Abstract: The facing element for a stabilized soil structure comprises a body of cast material inside which a path is formed for a reinforcement strip between two points of emergence situated on a rear face of the element. This path includes two rectilinear portions which are respectively adjacent to the two points of emergence and are each arranged so as to position the strip in the same plane of emergence perpendicular to the rear face, two curved portions which respectively continue the two rectilinear portions and are arranged so as to deviate the strip from the plane of emergence, and a connection portion which joins the two curved portions to one another and has at least one loop situated outside the plane of emergence.
Abstract: A method and device for inserting a drainage wick into the ground wherein the method includes the steps of: threading a drainage wick through an inserting tube; fixing a portion of a tie to the lower end of the drainage wick; fixing an anchorage component to another portion of said tie, where said tie is loose between the drainage wick lower end and the anchorage component when the anchorage component contacts the inserting tube lower end; driving a anchorage component, the drainage wick and the inserting tube downwardly into the ground; pulling up the inserting tube and the drainage wick, whereby said anchorage component is permitted to remain in the ground; and further pulling up the inserting tube whereby the anchorage component and the drainage wick are permitted to remain in the ground.

Abstract: A carpet putting surface having a longitudinal length longer than its lateral width and comprising a predetermined putting location marking, and a plurality of substantially “V” shaped markings placed apart from the predetermined putting location marking, with each substantially “V” shaped marking having the open end of the “V” closer to the predetermined putting location marking than the closed end of the “V.” An apparatus for practicing golf ball putting comprising a carriage having a spool of carpet putting surface and a golf ball retriever is also disclosed and adapted for use on a bowling alley lane.
Abstract: An improved user interface for use with a mobile telecommunication device such as a mobile phone to make its featured more accessible to a sight-impaired user. The user interface employs a collection of distinguishable non-visual (NV) cues that are selectively generated as the user chooses a feature for activation by navigating through a menu system. The NV cues may take any of several forms, but are most usually vibration pulses or audible sounds, or a combination of these two forms. As the user navigates through the menu system by sequentially selecting from available options, the NV cues are generated so that the user can sense a location within the menu system. The different NV cues may be associated with the availability of certain selected options, the selection of them, or organized in a manner analogous to the manner in which the options themselves are organized.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for managing and distributing keys between routers using protocol exchange messages between routers as key distribution vehicles. According to one embodiment of the invention, a router of an autonomous system uses its private key to send cryptographic information associated with another router to a peer router as part of its protocol exchange messages. The peer router is able to extract the cryptographic information and store it in a look-up table. Such protocol exchange messages may occur as part of an Interior Gateway Protocol or an Exterior Gateway Protocol. According to another embodiment of the invention, a chain authentication system is created as boundary routers of autonomous systems having a trust relationship share cryptographic information for other autonomous systems as part of protocol exchange messages for the exterior gateway protocol.
Abstract: A cavity back golf club head having a bridge member is disclosed. The bridge member extends across a first rear cavity connecting a heel and a toe of the golf club head to control the trajectory of a golf ball. For the longer iron clubs, a wall extending from the sole portion of the cavity back golf club head to the bridge member defines a second cavity to further influence the trajectory of the golf ball. For the shorter iron clubs, the wall extends from the top portion of the cavity back golf club head to the bridge member.
