Patent number: 6511457Abstract: A syringe having an air release assembly slidingly clamped to a syringe barrel, the air release assembly having a lower portion with a slider valve insert and an upper portion with a rearward facing chamber. The syringe barrel has an opening at the juncture of the barrel and a front wall and the air release assembly upper and lower portions define an opening. Forward movement of the air release assembly closes the barrel opening and prepares the syringe for fluid filling and fluid ejection. Rearward movement of the air release assembly aligns the barrel opening with the air release assembly opening so that slight plunger pressure ejects barrel liquid trapped air bubbles to an outside environment.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2001Date of Patent: January 28, 2003Inventor: Garey Thompson

Patent number: 6202970Abstract: A holder for edible and inedible objects, such as pickles, lolly pops, frozen confection bars and objects to be painted, having oppositely disposed cone shaped receptacles joined at the cone shaped receptacle apexes by a hollow stem, a handle affixed to the receptacles and object support structures contained within the cone shaped receptacles. The object support structures have proximal rod shaped members that snap into the hollow stem and distal end means for holding objects including a pointed end portion and a slotted end portion terminating in a circular plate. The circular plate fits snuggly inside the cone shaped receptacle. Accessory support structures that telescopically slip over the pointed distal end portion provide additional means for holding objects including a distal end slot, a distal end clamp and a distal end tube.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 1999Date of Patent: March 20, 2001Inventor: Ronald Dunbar

Patent number: 5971761Abstract: An educational electronic baby mat having means for auditory and visual responses to user motion or pressure stimuli including a top layer having a plurality of symbols inscribed on a plurality of light transmitting zones adapted to be compressed by a baby or child thereby impacting middle layer light diffusers. The light diffusers impact electrical conducting contacts that impinge upon contact points located within electrical circuits on a flexible printed circuit board to activate indicator lights and auditory recitations associated with each compressed symbol. Alternatively, a motion sensor detects a baby or child's movements and preprogrammed sound and visual responses indicating the identity of top layer symbols are activated.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 1998Date of Patent: October 26, 1999Inventor: Chitunda Tillman, Sr.
