  • Patent number: 5546692
Abstract: A deer decoy comprising a plastic body having opposed sides, each side simulating the rear end of a standing deer. A tail is associated with each side. The tails are mounted on a common shaft for bodily rotation about an axis near their upper ends such that the tails are gravitationally biased to normally hang in a position simulating a natural relaxed condition of repose. An exterior pull string and/or a mechanism within the body is controlled to move the tail relative to said body out of the repose position. The body is made of solid foam plastic or hollow and of two substantially identical halves joined together. The deer decoy body include recesses defining a downwardly open channels along each leg portion of the body rear end and a rod is telescoped in each channel for engaging the ground to support the decoy in standing position spaced above the ground.

  • Patent number: 5548251
Abstract: A low noise high-frequency clock generator using a low speed voltage controlled oscillator which includes 2m differential delay elements connected in series in an inverting configuration, where m is an integer greater than 0. The output of the 2mth delay element is coupled to the input of the first delay element in a non-inverting configuration. M 2-input exclusive NOR gates are provided wherein respective input pairs are taken from positive terminal inputs of adjacent delay elements. The clock generator also includes an m-input OR gate coupled to the m-outputs from the respective m exclusive NOR gates for generating the clock generator output signal. The delay elements have a variable delay associated therewith controlled by a control delay signal DCS. Changes in the delay associated with each delay element changes the frequency of the clock generator output signal wherein the output frequency is equal to 1/(2d), where d is the time delay associated with each delay element.

  • Patent number: 5544945
Abstract: An improved wheel disc and disc and and rim wheel assembly, and method and press apparatus for manufacturing the same. The wheel disc is adapted for telescopic press fit precision mounting into a mating wheel rim to form the wheel assembly. A flat disc blank is progressively die formed into a disc preform having a cross-sectional contour proximating that of the finished disc. The disc preform is then placed in a segmental expand punch and die tooling of the press apparatus which operates to apply radial expansion pressure to substantially the entire inner circumference of the peripheral flange portion of the disc preform to thereby permanently deform the same into a finished flange portion on the disc having precision finished predetermined dimensions.

  • Patent number: 5546497
Abstract: A method of suppressing background noise in a digital sound recording and reproducing system includes the steps of preselecting a specific voltage range to be considered to contain substantially all background noise, selecting a quiet sound benchmark voltage taken as zero output, defining a number of least significant bits of a digital sound signal confining the noise, defining voltages corresponding to the number of least significant bits, and replacing these voltages within the voltage range for both positive and negative most significant bits around the benchmark voltage with the benchmark voltage which clears sound signals from this type of noise. An apparatus for practicing the method employs logic circuitry providing suppression of signals within the preselected range.

  • Patent number: 5542660
Abstract: A spherical gaming device to be held by hand, made out of different materials, having a central core, wherein the central core consists of a removable ball with variable weight and this central core is housed into a first and a second hemispherical hollows, that can mutually fit. The first hemispherical hollow is integral with the spherical gaming device, being at the same time a base of a removable cylindrical portion thereof. The second base of the removable cylindrical portion is a portion of the outside surface of the sphere. The hand-held device also has a pair of drilled holes on the surface of said sphere, that define a first and a second cylindrical hollows to receive the fingers. The removable portion is provided with a trip fastening arrangement.

  • Patent number: 5541989
Abstract: A method and apparatus for detecting the added functions of a telephone dialer by adding diodes to the IC circuit and using as part of the input pins such that the need for total number of input pins and thus the manufacturing costs of the IC are reduced. The method is executed by using the available keyboard input/output boards without increasing the need for extra input pins in order to detect whether there is any diode in existence that is connected among the input/output ports.
