    Abstract: The invention provides devices for packaging a chip shaped carrier having an active surface which is adapted to be read by an electro-optical reading device, e.g. a surface which carries an array of DNA oligonucleotides. The invention further provides processes for assembling the devices. The invention also provides systems for carrying out evaluations and/or monitoring methods involving electro-optical reading of an activce surface of a chip shaped carrier.
