Abstract: A reversible transfer assembly for use in recording credit transactions is disclosed herein. The assembly hereof is particularly useful in conjunction with credit card "zip-zap" machines as well as hand written transactions.

Abstract: For automatically returning a pickup arm to a predetermined starting position on the perimeter of a record disc on a motor-driven turntable upon completion of playback, a drive gear is mounted on a turntable shaft for simultaneous rotation with the turntable. A driven gear, integrally formed with a cam, is mounted on a pivotal arm for movement into and out of engagement with the drive gear. When the pickup arm travels to a terminal position on the record discs, during playback, the driven gear is thereby urged into engagement with the drive gear and is, thus, set in rotation with the cam. The rotating cam causes the pickup arm to be lifted off the record disc and, then, to be spring returned from the terminal to the starting position. The record disc used herein is of the type having a plurality of grooves formed therein in the shape of nested spirals, for successive or random playback.

Abstract: A device for atomizing liquid fuel charges includes a support member having at least one frusto-conical bore formed therethrough. A grid is disposed within the bore to break down liquid fuel into minute mist particles. The device further includes a recirculation system for drawing off excess mist present in the bore. The instant device is particularly adapted for use in internal combustion engines.

Abstract: A fuel separating device adapted to be connected between a carburetor and the intake manifold or integrally built into the intake manifold of an internal-combustion engine for removing excess fuel from the fuel-air mixture provided by the carburetor. The device comprises a housing having upper and lower chambers that are separated by a plate having a plurality of upright tubular members which communicate the upper chamber to the lower chamber. The device has an inlet port communicating the upper chamber to the outlet of the carburetor and an outlet port which communicates the lower chamber to the inlet of the manifold such that a fuel flow passage is provided for directing the fuel-air mixture from the carburetor to the manifold, while excess fuel droplets carried by the mixture are deposited at the bottom of the upper chamber. Means are provided for drawing off the excess fuel and returning it to the fuel supply tank.

Abstract: A tamper resistant fastener comprising a screw having a shank portion on which a left-handed threaded surface is disposed and a head portion of a circular contour, the upper surface of which is provided with a circular bore at a location which is eccentrically disposed with respect to the longitudinal axis of the shank portion of the screw. A retainer member having a step bore that is so sized as to receive the screw such that the head portion of the screw is below the outer edge of the smaller diametered portion of the step bore.

Abstract: An adult undegarment fabricated from a cloth material formed into front and back panels connected by a narrow central panel forming a crotch portion. The front and back panels are provided with tie cords for facilitating the attachment of the garment to the waist of a patient. The crotch portion of the garment is so sized as to provide on opposite sides thereof, leg portions to receive the legs of the patient when the panels are attached to the patient. The crotch portion includes tie cords for securing the lower portion of the garment around the patient's legs. The garment is adapted to have various cloth and water impervious panels attached thereto such that the garment may be modified for a wide variety of uses.

Abstract: A trash bag caddy of the type to store and transport loaded plastic trash bags. The trash bag caddy comprises a wheeled, rigid frame having two parallel tubular legs forming a horizontal lower member which, in turn, supports two vertical members at opposite ends. One of the vertical members has a handlebar means thereon. An upper rectangular member positioned in a vertically-spaced relation above the lower member comprises two releasably joined U-shaped portions which attach to the vertical support to complete the rigid frame. A multi-apertured bag made from materials sufficiently strong to withstand the attack of canine creatures and other small animals is carried by the upper rectangular member. The multi-apertured bag is sufficiently pliant to permit the deposit of a variable number of the aforementioned trash bags.

Abstract: A chess-like game for use by two players and comprising a checkerboard having a checkered playing area with ranks and files of bilaterally alternating colored spaces. A set of chess pieces consisting of a subset of eight royalty figures for one of the players are initially positioned to form a royalty row along the rank at the edge of the playing area. The chess pieces further comprise a subset of eight pawn figures for the one player and are initially positioned on the playing area in the row adjacent the row occupied by the royalty figures to form a pawn row in front of the royalty row, as is conventional in the game of Chess. The set further comprises a subset of six horsemen-like figures which are representative of war, famine, plague, death, fire, and vanity, and each horsemen figure has the ability to move on the checkered playing area in a manner that symbolizes the attribute of the name which it bears.

Abstract: A pour spout and paint brush wiper attachable on paint containers. The pour spout has a circular planar member with a square aperture, two edges of which are integral with a pouring spout to facilitate the pouring of paint from the paint container. The circular edge of the planar member has an inverted channel-shaped flange capable of being conformingly snapped over the securing bead of a paint container, while the upper surface of the planar member has a raised rim circumscribing the square aperture and terminating in an integral connection with the spout to prevent the spilling of paint beyond the edge of the pour spout.

Abstract: A type carrier of the type that is clipped to a rotary cylindrical holder-carrier device. The type carrier is suitable for selecting chosen type symbols in photocomposing machines wherein several type carriers with different groups of type symbols and/or code information are sequentially distributed around a peripheral cylindrical surface. This arrangement is characterized by the fact that the flat type carrier consists of a thin sheet of elastic material capable of being deformed to a partial cylindrical segment and that the material so used is of the type which is practically insensitive to mechanical effects such as temperature variation. The type carrier is located on the inside peripheral surface of the cylindrical carrier-holding device.

Abstract: A water vessel having a pair of spaced, parallel pontoons connected by a deck on which there is fixedly supported a land traversing vehicle such as a motorcycle or a snowmobile. The water vessel includes at least one propeller operatively coupled to the power output drive of the land traversing vehicle, such that the propeller is rotated when the land traversing vehicle is operated. The water vessel further comprises a steering coupling mechanism which operatively couples the steering mechanism of the land traversing vehicle to at least one rudder carried by the water vessel such that the rudder is responsive to control the direction of the water vessel in response to the movement of the steering mechanism of the land traversing vehicle. The water vessel also comprises a rotatably mounted shaft having L-shaped outer ends extending beyond the outer portion of each pontoon.

Abstract: Method for polishing a stationary vehicle comprising a mobile carriage that travels on wheels along longitudinally disposed tracks located on either side of the vehicle. The carriage supports opposing side polishing brushes rotatably mounted about laterally movable vertical axes to buff the vertical surfaces of the vehicle. An overhead brush rotatably mounted on a horizontal axis is movable in a vertical direction to polish the upper surfaces of the vehicle. The vehicle surfaces are coated with a wax or other suitable polishing materials, and the carriage with the rotating brushes is reciprocated back and forth relative to the stationary vehicle such that the vehicle surfaces are polished by the action of the rotating brushes.

Abstract: A hula hoop type toy is provided with a plurality of aesthetically configured openings disposed therearound. Light emitting means, such as light bulbs, provided in an electrical circuit are associated with the openings. The electrical circuit is powered by a battery and closed by a centrifugal switch and is disposed in the interior of the hoop.

Abstract: A fluid system having a source of fluid pressure such as a fluid pump connected to a fluid user such as a fluid motor is provided with a directional control valve between the fluid source and the fluid user for selectively controlling its direction of movement. The directional control valve is a three-position, tandem-center, pilot operated four-way valve which, in the preferred embodiment of the invention, is modified to include a two-position, four-way directional control valve between the pilot valve and the main valve of the system to provide a hydraulic memory.

Abstract: In a conveyor system for forwarding trays along a support, the trays are engaged by pusher mechanisms attached to an endless driven chain supported on a track adjacent to the tray's support. Each pusher mechanism has a pivotally mounted pusher member that is associated with a pivoted control member located forwardly of the pusher member and connected thereto by a horizontally sliding connecting member. The pusher member and the control member are normally urged to positions in which the pusher member is drivingly engageable with a tray and the control member is engageable with an object such as a preceding tray overtaken by the control member; such engagement resulting in movement of the pusher member to a non-driving position and enabling trays to be stopped and accumulated.
