Abstract: Disclosed are cells, methods of modulating cells, and therapeutic uses of the cells for the immune modulation of mammals in need thereof. Immune modulation including alteration of cytokine profile, cytotoxic activity, antibody production and inflammatory states is achieved through the administration of various cell types that have been unmanipulated or manipulated in order to endow specific biological activity. Cellular subsets and administration of the subsets in combination with various agents are also provided. One embodiment teaches the previously unknown finding that adipose tissue derived mononuclear cells contain T cells with immune regulatory properties that alone or synergistically with various stem cells induce immune modulation upon administration. Another embodiment is the finding that stimulation of stem cell activation results in stem cell secondary activation of immune modulatory cells, one type which is T regulatory cells (Tregs).

Abstract: Surgical implants for neighboring bones are disclosed herein. Preferred implants are configured to be implanted into the scaphoid and lunate. Preferred implants include a first plate configured to be implanted into the scaphoid and a second plate configured to be implanted into the lunate wherein said first and second plates are couple together by a rotatable rod.

Abstract: Classifying kits useful in separating gold, other precious metals, gems, collectable rocks, fossils, and archaeological artifacts from earth material. Classifying sieves and other parts of the classifying kits herein are configured to be used within a bucket and can readily be removable therefrom. Depending on the parts used and the goals of a user, the kits herein can be used with dry sifting methods or with water.

Abstract: Template systems and methods of use are disclosed herein for use in conjunction with corresponding spinal fusion plates. Preferred templates are slotted to allow for use with distractor pins and a distractor. Additionally preferred templates include windows to allow the operating surgeon to have more visibility of the intervertebral area, including the graft. After the appropriate sized template has been placed against the targeted vertebrae, holding pins can be placed into the vertebral bodies to help guide the fusion plate and to compress the intervertebral space.

Abstract: Micromachined flex interposers and methods of making the same are provided herein. More specifically the teachings herein are directed to interposer pins and strips having a rigid substrate supporting upper and lower cantilevered ends having a polyimide layer and a metal layer configured to flex towards the substrate layer during connection with upper and lower contact pads. Additional layers of polyimide and metal can be added to affect the flexibility and robustness of the pins and strips herein.

Abstract: The teachings herein are directed to devices for detecting and signaling the presence of urine or another electrically conducive liquid in an undergarment, fabric, or other thin material. Preferred devices include a clip configured to safely and releasably secure a liquid detecting sensor to a fabric or undergarment, wherein said sensor is operably coupled to a detection device that emits a notification signal when liquid is present in the fabric.

Abstract: Soft-sided luggage having means for preventing unauthorized access through the zipper is disclosed herein. Preferred means for preventing unauthorized access through the zipper include a rigid barrier attached internally to a first side of the luggage, positioned alongside and extending to the length of the zipper track, and extending past the plane of the zipper towards the second side of the luggage. Further security features can also be used with soft luggage provided herein, including padlocks, and flaps crossing the zipper plane, for example.

Fish strike indicators can include a fishing reel having a rotatable fishing line spool and housing a power source operably connected to an electrical circuit, wherein the electrical circuit includes means for closing the electrical circuit in operable connection with the rotation of the fishing line spool and means for signaling a fish strike to a user.
