Abstract: Two first delay signals Q30 and Q34 are generated such that edges thereof are delayed by a first delay time Td1 in relation to the rising edge of a clock signal CLK. Two second delay signals Q32 and Q36 are also generated such that edges thereof are delayed by a second delay time Td2 in relation to the trailing edge of the clock signal CLK. A pulse signal Sout is generated as a result of logic operations performed on the first delay signals Q30 and Q34 and the second delayed signals Q32 and Q36.
Abstract: A capacitive sensor includes a fixed board provided with a fixed electrode unit consisting of one or more electrodes, a movable member provided with a movable electrode unit consisting of one or more electrodes which faces the fixed electrode unit with a gap therebetween, the movable member being rotatable with respect to the fixed board, a weight provided on the movable member, and a retaining element which is disposed between the fixed plate and the weight and retains the movable member in a rotatable manner. At least one of the movable electrode unit and the fixed electrode unit includes a plurality of electrodes.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for copying a segment from an audiovisual file having a multiplicity of audio frames and a multiplicity of video frames. In a first step, a mark-in location in a video file is selected to correspond to a first video frame in the segment such that the first video frame has an associated start time. Next, a mark-out location in the video file is selected to correspond to a last video frame in the segment, and the last video frame having an associated end time. Once the mark-in video frame is selected, a first audio frame having a first audio frame start time that is at least as early as the first video frame start time is designated as an initial audio frame. A second audio frame having a second audio frame start time that is at least as late as the last video frame end time is designated as the last audio frame.

Abstract: Improved methods and apparatus for ion-assisted etch processing in a plasma processing system are disclosed. In accordance with various aspects of the invention, an elevated edge ring, a grooved edge ring, and a RF coupled edge ring are disclosed. The invention operates to improve etch rate uniformity across a substrate (wafer). Etch rate uniformity improvement provided by the invention not only improves fabrication yields but also is cost efficient and does not risk particulate and/or heavy metal contamination.

Abstract: Techniques for providing a client program with remote access to information management services of a computer network are disclosed. An application programming interface can be provided to enable the client to remotely access the information management services. By using the application program interface the client can remotely invoke appropriate methods on the server to access the information management services. The application programming interface can be implemented as a thin-class. In addition, the communication between the server and the client programs is transparent to the applications that utilize the application programming interface.
Abstract: A method and apparatus of securing access to a service manager for the administration of services residing on multiple service host computers from an administration server computer is described. A user identifier, such as a user name, and a corresponding password are provided to the service manager. The user identifier is associated with a system administrator having administrative access to the services. The service manager authenticates the user by comparing the user identifier and password against a list of user identifiers and corresponding passwords stored in a persistent memory. A list of services to which the system administrator has administrative access is derived from the data in persistent memory. When the system administrator makes a request to administer one or more services from the list of services, the administrator's access control is verified at the service host computers on which the requested services reside by examining access control data in the persistent memory.
