  • Patent number: 8342540
Abstract: A motorized vehicle includes left and right suspensions connected to a frame. The left and right suspensions are moving in predetermined directions. A vehicle implement is pivotally connected to one of a front portion and a rear portion of the frame by at least one arm. The vehicle implement is pivotable between a first position and a second position. The second position is vertically higher than the first position. At least one suspension limiter is operatively connected to the at least one arm. When the vehicle implement is in the first and second positions, the left and right suspensions are free to move in the predetermined directions. When the vehicle implement is in a position intermediate the first and second positions, the at least one suspension limiter restricts movement of the left and right suspensions in at least one of the predetermined directions. A suspension limiter is also provided.

  • Patent number: 7835558
Abstract: A model of the dental restoration is shaped in-vivo on the patient by the dentist. The model is then scanned in the dentists office using a 3D optical scanner. A 3D graphic representation of the model is obtained from the scanner using a computer. The computer is used to convert the 3D graphic representation of the model into a milling path for milling the dental restoration in a block of durable dental restoration material having known dimensions. A mill, also present in the dentists office, mills the dental restoration from the block using the milling path while the patient is waiting. The dentist can then take the milled dental restoration and apply it to the patient in the same, single visit.

  • Patent number: 7812945
Abstract: A fluorescence optical tomography system and method uses a photon migration model calculator for which absorption and reduced scattering coefficient values are determined for each source/detector pair. The coefficient values may be determined by measurement, in which a time resolved detector detects the excitation wavelength and generates temporal point spread functions from which the coefficient values are found. Alternatively, the coefficient values may be determined by calculating them from a dataset containing a spatial distribution of absorption and reduced scattering coefficients in a volume of interest. The fluorescence detection may be continuous wave, time resolved, or a combination of the two. An estimator uses a detected fluorescence signal and an estimated fluorescence signal to estimate the image values.

  • Patent number: 7808371
Abstract: The invention relates to a fleet security system comprising a vehicle security unit (VSU) to be installed inside each vehicle, on the sun visor or on the dashboard of the vehicle, and connected to the vehicle using the On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) connector of the vehicle. An authorized user holds the key of the vehicle to be used and an electronic security key. When the authorized user opens the door of the vehicle, the VSU detects a disturbance in the vehicle and wirelessly sends a disturbance event message to a fleet master unit. The authorized user then has a given deactivation time period (such as thirteen seconds) to show its security key to a key reader located inside the vehicle, on the VSU. The security key code is validated by the master unit which will command the VSU to disarm its disturbance detection.
