Abstract: The present invention discloses, among other things, a valve assembly that includes a body, a valve, a biasing mechanism, and a guide. The body includes a shaped cavity and the valve includes an elongated portion and a shaped valve head that has an exterior surface portion that is configured to engage a portion of the shaped cavity. The guide includes a central axis and a centrally disposed opening that receives a portion of the valve and guides the movement of the valve through at least a segment of the valve's axial motion. The biasing mechanism, which may include a spring, biases the valve head in the direction of the shaped cavity. The invention further includes a method for making a valve assembly.
