Abstract: A screwdriver with insulated shaft and polygonal driving head comprising an insulated block disposed between a shaft and a polygonal head. A handle of insulated material is engaged on the shaft, so that the screwdriver accordingly is insulated and an operator of the screwdriver can be protected from electric shock.
Abstract: An alarm which can be used in lieu of the knob of the cover of a teapot or an ordinary pot which provides the capability of sounding a musical alarm when the water temperature inside the teapot or kettle nears the boiling point. The alarm contains a body member, an upper plate, a sensor, a speaker and an electronic assembly. The sensor detects the vapor temperature variations in a teapot through a sensing plate beneath the teapot cover and produces an electrical signal corresponding to the vapor temperature level. This signal is then changed to musical sounds through an electronic assembly when the water nears its boiling point.
Abstract: Improvements in a centrifugal cooling tower which include a housing having a water tank, a water valve, an over-flow pipe and an outlet at its lower portion. The housing has louvers on its perimeter and upper portion with louvers defining a number of long slits for air to be readily drawn in. A screen structure near the upper inside of the housing collects the upwardly rising water vapor to form condensated which falls down into the tank to be used for re-circulated. Fixed beams and a motor are mounted on a fixed post in the inside center of the body frame. Supports are fixed to the post respectively by a deflection screen member and a perforated drum of the rotating cylinder supported in position by a shaft. The perforated drum has a spiral blade fan for drawing in a large amount of outside air to perform heat exchange with droplets of water.
Abstract: A multi-purpose stand having a rack, a plurality of plates and a base. The rack has a plurality of tubular elements of different dimensions, each of which is attached to each other by pins penetrating holes provided on the corresponding tubular elements. A bottom frame is mounted on the lower one of the tubular elements for vertically maintaining the rack. Two plates have a pair of hinging hooks on an exterior side. A retaining member is secured on one of the tubular elements and has a pair of hinging holes provided on the retaining member for engaging with the hinging hooks. A pair of securing means are mounted on a rod which is mounted on the retaining member and cover the hinging hooks so as to prevent the hinging hooks from disengaging. A pair of supporting elements are received by a pair of slots formed on the lateral side of the retaining member to support the plate mounted on the retaining member. The base has a plurality of door-like members under each of which a case is installed by fixing means.
Abstract: A base for use with a tacker. The base includes a plate fixed on a first cavity at the front side thereof with a rivet. A groove is disposed in the plate. A bending plate is attached to the rear end of a resilient plate such that the staple remover of a tacker can be set within the bending plate, thus forming an assembly which can be utilized to staple a thick stack of paper.
Abstract: A wheel fixing device for a wheel assembly of a baby carriage including:a hollow shaft element at the extream end of the shaft;a rotatable seat rotatable with respect to the wheel assembly being rotatably connected with a lower part of the hollow shaft element; the rotatable seat having a pair of knobs;a hub body joining said rotatable seat and a pair of wheels of the wheel assembly; anda slidable housing comprising:a central recess for encompassing the hollow shaft element and being vertically slidable along the hollow shaft element;a central slot on both sides thereof;a hole on both sides thereof;a spring member at both sides thereof with two legs extending in the same direction and with one leg thereof retained in the hole of the slidable housing and the other leg retained in respective hole of the hollow shaft element for securing the slidable housing and the hollow shaft element together and for imparting a desirable resiliency therewithin such that the slidable housing has a tendency to move downwards w
Abstract: Arrangement in a hoisting device, especially for a derrick (1) comprising two parallel vertical derrick components (3, 4), each of which carrying a rack rail (10) along which the hoisting device (6) can move vertically by means of a driving means (6a6b) which is arranged on each derrick component (3, 4) and which via gear wheels (8, 9) engages the rack rails (10), the hoisting device (6) comprising a transverse supporting member (18) extending between the two driving means (6a6b).
Abstract: A fastening device applied to fasten a pair of handle supports on a skiing machine has an upper semi-circular clipping element which is complemented by a matching lower semi-circular clipping element to receive a bending terminal of handle support. A semi-circulr recess is provided at an external central region of the upper semi-circular clipping element, and a circular depression is provided at an external center region of the lower semi-circular clipping element. A cylindrical housing, mounted on a base of the skiing machine encases the upper and lower semi-circular clipping elements, and has two openings. A securing knob is applied to secure the upper semi-circular clipping element and the cylindrical housing together tightly, which is threaded through an opening on the cylindrical housing into the recess with a pad. A retarding bolt is disposed between the base, cylindrical housing and lower semi-circular clipping element. A spring element urges the retarding bolt to insert tightly therebetween.
Abstract: A nozzle for inflatable objects being made of a plastic material, including a nozzle seat which is subject to engage with the inflatable object in such a manner that it is normally retracted in the inflatable object but also being extendable from the surface of the inflatable object when being pulled out; and annular wall extended from the nozzle seat which defines an air inlet; a plug for insertion into the air inlet; a plug arm extended from the annular wall and connecting the plug with the nozzle seat; a plug extension extended from the plug at a position remote from the plug arm and having two holes; a tie at a side of the air inlet opposite the plug arm being passable through the two holes on the plug extension; and a piece of one-way membrane extended from a lower face of the nozzle seat which during inflation allows air to blow in through the air inlet but which blocks air from flowing out of the air inlet when the nozzle seat is protruded from the surface of the inflatable object.
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a pallet extender for mounting at an end of an aircraft cargo pallet comprising, a first elongate load support panel, hinges on one elongate edge of the panel to mount the panel along an end of a pallet to pivot about an axis extending along said edge of a panel. A second elongate panel, extends along the other elongate edge of the first panel and is connected thereto by a hinge to allow the second panel to pivot with respect to the first panel. Locking means act between the first and second panels to lock the second panel in any one of a plurality of different attitudes with respect to the first panel. Support structures are provided at both ends of said one panel extending to one side of the panel, and brace means connect the support structures to the pallet to support the panels at a required attitude with respect to the pallet.
