  • Patent number: 8162164
Abstract: A transport tank system includes a molded thermoplastic tank defining an aperture therethrough and having a discharge end and an opposing end, the thermoplastic tank being rigidly configured for holding a consumable cargo received through the aperture and including a material resistant to passage of oxygen to preserve the consumable cargo. The tank is capable of standing alone for storing the consumable cargo, or the tank can be loaded into a standard dry box container to convert the dry box container into a bulk liquid transport container.

  • Patent number: 6425690
Abstract: A bearing subassembly includes an improved arrangement for securing the bearing subassembly to a shaft. An adjusting nut is axially locked to a bearing inner ring by sliding the adjusting nut over the inner ring so that a groove in the adjusting nut and recesses, for example, pockets, on the inner ring align. Securement elements, for example, balls, are inserted into the groove and seated in the recesses through a bore from the outer diameter of the adjusting nut to the groove. The inner ring is rotated to allow the securement elements to fall into the recesses and are enclosed between the groove and recesses by inserting, for example, a set screw after the securement elements are loaded. The securement arrangement then prevents the bearing subassembly adjusting nut and inner ring from separating.

  • Patent number: 6264003
Abstract: A bearing system includes a lubricant circulation apparatus to provide a continuous supply of a cooled lubricant fluid to a bearing device. The bearing device may be a hydrodynamic sleeve bearing having a bearing housing defining a sump for maintaining lubricant fluid therein. The bearing sump is in fluid communication with a reservoir which maintains a supply of lubricant. A pump communicates with the reservoir to draw a desired quantity of lubricant fluid therefrom and deliver it to a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger uses an existing source of air from an operative pump motor to increase the air circulation through the cooling fins of the heat exchanger. The cooled lubricant is thereafter delivered to the bearing inlet and provides a cooler operating environment for the bearing system.
