Patent number: 4157633Abstract: A doll with a simulated identity or plurality of identities. The simulation is attained by providing a transparent panel which is both light transmissive and light reflective and which is viewed by the child playing with the doll, which doll is mounted in front of the transparent panel. The transparent panel defines the front of an enclosure so that the movable panel, when in position, is generally parallel to and spaced from the transparent panel. The movable panel bears a recognizable portion of the identity desired. The balance of the surface of the movable panel is light absorptive, and the balance of the interior of the enclosure is also light absorptive. The doll is placed in front of the transparent panel and spaced therefrom by a distance generally equal to the distance between the two panels, so that the image of the doll reflected from the transparent panel appears to be coincident with the identity portion of the movable panel within the enclosure.Type: GrantFiled: January 7, 1977Date of Patent: June 12, 1979Assignee: Mego Corp.Inventors: Lawrence Reiner, Michael Hennig
