  • Patent number: 7359544
Abstract: Disclosed are methods and apparatus for efficiently setting up and maintaining a defect classification system. In general terms, the setup procedure optionally includes automatically grouping a set of provided defects and presenting a representative set from each defect group to the user for classification. After the initial manual classification of the representative defects, the setup procedure includes an automatic procedure for classifying the non-reviewed or unclassified defects based on the manual class codes from the user-reviewed defects. After the automatic classification operation, the user may also be presented with defects from each class which may require re-classification. In particular embodiments, the user is iteratively presented with defects which have classifications that are suspect, which are near classification boundaries, or have classifications that have a low confidence level until each class is pure or contains a same type of defect classes as assigned by the user.

  • Patent number: 7359488
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for generating an x-ray image. An object is interposed between a detector and an x-ray source. A grid is interposed between the x-ray source and the object. The grid is exposed to primary x-ray energy generated by the x-ray source, thereby exposing the object to a first portion of the primary energy via the interstices of the grid. A second portion of the primary energy is received with first areas of the detector corresponding to the interstices of the grid. Secondary x-ray energy is received with the first areas of the detector and with second areas of the detector corresponding to the elements of the grid. The secondary energy results from scattering of the primary x-ray energy. Image data are generated by altering data from the first areas with reference to data from the second areas.

  • Patent number: 7357379
Abstract: A vibration isolating bushing including: an elastic body disposed in between and elastically connecting an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve surrounding the inner sleeve. The elastic body has two pairs of axial bores diametrically opposed to each other and axially extends therethrough between the inner and outer sleeves to be independent of each other, and is circumferentially divided in terms of stress transmission by the two pairs of axial bores into two pairs of segments diametrically opposed to each other. Two diametric lines, extending in directions in which the two pairs of axial bores are respectively opposed to each other, intersect obliquely so that the two pairs of segments are made different from each other in their circumferential lengths for differentiating spring characteristics of the bushing in two diametric directions in which said two pairs of segments are opposed to each other, respectively.

  • Patent number: 7356573
Abstract: Disclosed are methods and apparatus for data tapping within a storage area network (SAN) and providing tapped data to a third party device, such as an appliance. In general, mechanisms are provided in a SAN to allow a data tap of data flowing between an initiator and a target. In one implementation, a data virtual target (DVT) in created in a network device to intercept data sent by a specific initiator to a specific logical unit of a specific target. The data or a copy of the data is sent to both the specific logical unit of the specific target and to an appliance. The data routing may be accomplished by use of a virtual initiator (VI), which is configured to send the data (or a copy of the data) to the specific target and the appliance. In a transparent mode of operations, the DVT has a same PWWN (port world wide name) and FCID (fibre channel identifier) as the specific target. In a first proxy mode of operation, the DVT has a different PWWN and FCID than the specific target.

  • Patent number: 7355748
Abstract: A client controls printing of color chips (images for colorimetry) with a plurality of tones for individual color inks (printing colorants). The client acquires from a server a tone value correction table (color matching information) to match standard colors. The server can acquire the lightness data of color chips for individual inks and create the tone value correction table based on the lightness data of color chips of individual color inks and the lightness data of standard colors corresponding to the color inks, and subsequently send the color matching information to the client. As a result, it is easier to produce colors that match standard colors.

  • Patent number: 7354802
Abstract: In one aspect, an improved wafer mount tape is provided. The wafer mount tape includes a base layer, a release layer that expands when activated and a B-stageable adhesive layer that is positioned over the release layer. In a method aspect of the invention, a wafer level method of placing an adhesive layer on the back surface of integrated circuit devices is described. In this aspect, a wafer is secured to the mount tape. The wafer is diced while the wafer is attached to the mounting tape. After the wafer has been diced and any other desired wafer level processing is completed, the dice may be released individually or in groups by heating (or otherwise activating) localized areas of the tape under selected die to a temperature sufficient to release the selected die. The expansion of the release layer during the release operation serves to lift the selected die relative to adjacent die thereby facilitating picking.

  • Patent number: 7352731
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for implementing a Mobile IP mobile router are provided. In accordance with one aspect, the Home Agent receives a registration request packet. The registration request packet may include a care-of address for the mobile router. Networks associated with the mobile router are then identified. The Home Agent then updates a routing table to associate the identified networks with the care-of address. In addition, the Home Agent updates a mobility binding table with the care-of address for the mobile router. In accordance with another aspect, routing information is exchanged between the Home Agent and the mobile router. A routing table associated with at least one of the Home Agent and the mobile router is then updated as appropriate to include the exchanged routing information.
