Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting a pilot in a wireless communication system is provided. A pilot generating unit generates the pilot. A transmission circuitry transmits the pilot and a radio signal. A a processor assigns a first index and a second index to each of a plurality of pilot patterns, determines a selection pilot pattern having a first selection index and a second selection index calculated based on a cell ID, which are respectively identical with the first index and the second index, from among the plurality of pilot patterns, and maps the generated pilot to a resource element based on the selection pilot pattern.

Abstract: The invention relates to an adaptive method of extracting at least of desired electro magnetic wave signals, sound wave signals (40, 42), and any other signals from a mixture of signals (40, 42, 44, 46) and suppressing noise and interfering signals to produce enhanced signals (50) corresponding to desired (10) signals, and an apparatus (70) therefore. It relies on the concept of at least one of an attenuation of input signals in each sub-band for signals in such a manner that all desired (10) signals are attenuated less than noise or interfering source signals, and/or an amplification of input signals in each sub-band for source signals in such a manner that all desired (10) signals are amplified, and that they are amplified more than the noise and interfering signals.

Abstract: Intelligent hotspot connection systems and methods are provided. The intelligent hotspot connection system includes a storage unit, a wireless connection unit, and a processing unit. The storage unit includes a hotspot information database recording at least one property for each of a plurality of hotspots, and a hotspot preference database recording at least one preference inclination, respectively defining a reference weight for the property and signal strength. The processing unit detects the signal strength of the respective hotspots via the wireless connection unit. The processing unit obtains the preference inclination, and calculates a score for the respective hotspots according to the preference inclination, the property and signal strength of the respective hotspots. The processing unit selects and automatically connects to the hotspot with the highest score via the wireless connection unit.
Abstract: Disclosed is a laser device. The laser device includes a pulse generator which irradiates a laser beam between a high reflector mirror and an output coupler mirror to amplify and resonate the laser beam, a pulse output section which receives a laser beam pulse amplified and resonated through the output coupler mirror to output the laser beam pulse, and a Q switch which moves backward or forward in a direction perpendicular to a path of the laser beam formed between the pulse generator and the high reflector mirror. The output coupler mirror includes first and second mirrors provided on a base plate. Positions of the first and second mirrors are selectively changed as the Q switch moves backward or forward.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for transmitting a sounding reference signal from to a base station in a radio communication system. More specifically, the method comprises the steps of: transmitting a periodic sounding reference signal to a base station; receiving a transmission instruction for an additional sounding reference signal from the base station; multiplexing said periodic sounding reference signal and said additional sounding reference signal along a frequency axis or a time axis; and transmitting said multiplexed periodic sounding reference signal and said additional sounding reference signal to said base station. Said multiplexing step is characterized by multiplexing said periodic sounding reference signal and said additional sounding reference signal along a frequency axis or a time axis.

Abstract: A method for retransmitting a multicast frame in a wireless network and a method for determining whether or not a received multicast frame is a duplicated frame are disclosed. In determining whether or not the received multicast frame is the same duplicated frame as a previously received multicast frame, a receiver address value and a sequence number of the multicast frame may be used. When fragmentation of a multicast frame is allowed, the value of a fragment number of the multicast frame may be also used, and if it includes a traffic ID, the value of the traffic ID can be also used for determining whether or not the multicast frame is a duplicated frame. If a multicast frame is transmitted in a wireless mesh network, it is determined whether or not the multicast frame is a duplicated one by using a mesh source address, a mesh destination address, and a sequence number. The fragment number and/or the traffic ID may be also used in the determining step as necessary.

Abstract: The present invention provides a steel plate cooling method, in controlled cooling of thick-gauge steel plate, which uniformly cools steel plate over its entire length and eliminates plate warping, that is, a method of conveying and cooling the top and bottom surfaces of steel plate in a high temperature state after hot rolling while constraining the high temperature rolled steel plate by a plurality of sets or top and bottom draining rolls, wherein cooling nozzles having a large number of nozzle openings and individually or simultaneously spraying the two fluids of air and water are used to cool the steel plate, the cooling method of steel plate characterized by giving a stable pattern by driving out air trying to invade the path of flow reaching the front end of the cooling apparatus when the water which is fed is low in amount or low in pressure.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using the same. The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery electrode includes an electrode material mixture and a current collector. The electrode material mixture includes an active material and a polymer. The thickness change rate of the electrode material mixture is ?3 to 10% when immersing in an electrolyte at 60° C. for 72 hours.
