  • Patent number: 7765986
Abstract: An injector mounting structure for a V-type internal combustion engine includes an intake manifold arranged in a V-bank. A fuel supply pipe extends linearly in parallel to a crankshaft and is disposed in the V-bank. A pair of injectors are branched in an inverted V-shape in side view from the direction of the axial line of the fuel supply pipe from two branch portions P, Q apart from each other in the direction of the axial line of the fuel supply pipe and extend in parallel to each other and obliquely at an acute angle ? with respect to a segment PQ connecting the two branch portions P, Q in top view. The injectors are mounted by fitting distal end portions of the pair of injectors respectively into mounting holes formed on air-intake pipes of the intake manifold on the respective sides.

  • Patent number: 7742031
Abstract: A display device includes: a gate driver for carrying out display scanning on pixels sequentially in a first direction of a TFT liquid crystal panel so as to set pixels to display states thereof according to information to be displayed by the pixels in the TFT liquid crystal panel. The pixels being arranged in two dimensions and being individually controllable in terms of the display state through illumination. There is a backlight, unit for illuminating the individual pixels with intensity of light which increases and subsequently decreases in synchronism with the display scanning carried out by the gate driver, but only after the display scanning. The arrangement enables the backlight flashing period to be determined independently from a TFT panel scanning period or response time of liquid crystal, ensures an extended operating time of a TFT panel, effects a display period equal to, or longer than, the black blanking type, and achieves higher contrast than the black blanking type.

  • Patent number: 6469110
Abstract: Described herein is a process and an apparatus for polymerizing propylene. The process comprises carrying out the polymerization in at least one slurry reactor and at least one gas phase reactor without recycling unreacted monomers to the slurry reactor. A polymerization product containing unreacted monomers is recovered from the slurry reactor and volatile components are separated from the product in a separation unit. The polymerization product is recovered from the separation unit and conducted to a first gas phase reactor; and at least a part of the volatile components a recovered from the separation unit and conducted them to a gas phase reactor. At least 10% of the polymer product is produced in the gas phase reactor(s). The invention provides propylene homopolymers and alloys of propylene homopolymers and copolymers having good impact and creep properties.

  • Patent number: 5834257
Abstract: The present inventions relate to novel .alpha.-agarase which selectively hydrolyzes the 1,3-bond of an oligosaccharide derived from agarose; a process for producing oligosaccharides and/or monosaccharides, characterized by that a .beta.-agarase which acts on both polysaccharides and oligosaccharides derived from agarose and an .alpha.-agarase which acts specifically on oligosaccharides derived from agarose are allowed to react with a substrate which contains agarose or an oligosaccharide derived from agarose; and a process for producing oligosaccharides and/or monosaccharides, characterized by that the above .alpha.-agarase is allowed to react with a substrate which contains an oligosaccharide derived from agarose.

  • Patent number: 4532552
Abstract: An apparatus for recording the information content of an electrical signal on the surface of a light sensitive medium by means of a plurality of scan traces across said medium comprises a source for providing a light beam of high intensity modulated in accordance with electrical information supplied thereto, an actuator for actuating the source means and generating sync signals, the frequency of the sync signals being altered in accordance with variations in scanning speeds of the light beam to impinge on the medium, a reflector having a plurality of contiguous reflective faces rotatable about a central axis, a rotation device for rotating said reflector about said central axis; and a lens, disposed between said source and said reflector, for receiving and passing through said light beam.
