  • Patent number: 7830750
Abstract: A system and method for calibrating an acoustic detector. The method includes the steps of simultaneously transmitting an acoustic signal and an electromagnetic signal to an acoustic detector, receiving both signals, calculating a timing difference between the reception of the acoustic signal and electromagnetic signal, and setting a first time threshold used to determine if a glass panel is broken using the calculated difference and storing the first time threshold. A sensitivity level is also set based upon the determined timing difference. A unique key signature in the acoustic signal and electromagnetic signal is detected and matched with a stored signature to determine whether the signals are from a calibration signal. The timing difference is only calculated if both signals are calibration signals.

  • Patent number: 7821065
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a semiconductor device having high operation characteristic and reliability. The measures taken are: A pixel capacitor is formed between an electrode comprising anodic capable material over an organic resin film, an anodic oxide film of the electrode and a pixel electrode above. Since the anodic oxide film is anodically oxidized by applied voltage per unit time at 15 V/min, there is no wrap around on the electrode, and film peeling can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 7807483
Abstract: An object is to provide a display device that can be manufactured by improvement of use efficiency of a material and simplification of a manufacturing process. A light absorbing layer is formed, an insulating layer is formed over the light absorbing layer, the light absorbing layer and the insulating layer are selectively irradiated with laser light, an irradiated region in the insulating layer is removed to form an opening in the insulating layer, and a conductive film is formed in the opening so as to be in contact with the light absorbing layer. The conductive film is formed in the opening so as to be in contact with the light absorbing layer, which is exposed, so that the light absorbing layer and the conductive layer can be electrically connected with the insulating layer interposed therebetween.

  • Patent number: 7803545
Abstract: Heteroduplex band resolution is found to be improved by modifying the induced heteroduplex generator (IHG) molecule such that the identifier is spaced apart from the nucleotide position immediately adjacent to the site of the polymorphism which is to be genotyped. Unexpectedly, it is found that, when such modified IHG molecules are used, the resolution of the induced heteroduplexes is significantly improved.

  • Patent number: 7800114
Abstract: Manufacture of TFTs corresponding to various circuits makes structures thereof complex, which involves a larger number of manufacturing steps. Such an increase in the number of the manufacturing steps leads to a higher manufacturing cost and a lower manufacturing yield. In the invention, a high concentration of impurities is doped by using as masks a tapered resist that is used for the manufacture of a tapered gate electrode, and the tapered gate electrode, and then the tapered gate electrode is etched in the perpendicular direction using the resist as a mask. A semiconductor layer under the thusly removed tapered portion of the gate electrode is doped with a low concentration of impurities.
