    Abstract: A PV module kit for non-penetrating rooftop installation, including a plurality of PV modules and a plurality of connectors. Each of the PV modules includes a PV laminate and a frame forming a mounting region assembled thereto. The connectors include a male connector having a male fastener extending from a head, and a female connector having a female fastener assembled within a head. The heads are entirely formed of plastic. The kit provides a mounted array state including a junction at which the mounting region of at least two of the PV modules are aligned and interconnected by engagement of the male connector with the female connector. The so-formed junction is substantially electrically insulated. The plurality of connectors can further include a spacer connector including a head forming a bore sized to slidably receive the male fastener, with all of the connector heads being identical.

    Abstract: Character model graphs are created, and the parameters of the model graphs are adjusted to optimize character recognition performed with the model graphs. In effect the character recognizer using the model graphs is trained. The model graphs are created in three stages. First, a vector quantization process is used on a set of raw samples of handwriting symbols to create a smaller set of generalized reference characters or symbols. Second, a character reference model graph structure is created by merging each generalized form model graph of the same character into a single character reference model graph. The merging is based on weighted Euclidian distance between parts of trajectory assigned to graph edges. As a last part of this second stage “type-similarity” vectors are assigned to model edges to describe similarities of given model edge to each shape and to each possible quantized value of other input graph edge parameters.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided that calibrate a wideband radio communications system without causing significant interference with simultaneous users of the system. In one embodiment, the invention includes an antenna array adapted to transmit and receive radio communications signals with a plurality of other terminals the communications signals each using a particular minimum bandwidth. A transmit chain transmits a calibration signal through the antenna array to a transponder, and a receive chain receives through the antenna array a transponder signal from the transponder, the transponder signal being based on the calibration signal and having a bandwidth narrower than the minimum bandwidth. A signal processor measures characteristics of the transponder signal as received through the receive chain. These can be used to determine spatial signatures and to calibrate the transmit chain and the receive chain.

    Abstract: Layout correction is accomplished using a forward mapping technique. Forward mapping refers to mapping of fragments from a reticle layout to a target layout, while backward mapping refers to mapping of fragments from the target layout to the reticle layout. Forward mapping provides a technique for making an unambiguous mapping for each reticle fragment to a corresponding target layout fragment. The mapping does not necessarily provide a one-to-one correspondence between reticle fragments and target layout fragments. That is, multiple reticle layout fragments can map to a single target layout fragment. An edge placement error for the target layout fragments is used to make positioning corrections for the corresponding reticle fragment(s). Edge placement error can be determined, for example, with a simulation process that simulates a manufacturing process using the reticles.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for positioning a radioactive portion of a wire at one or more positions within the lumen of a guide catheter, such as for intravascular radiotherapy, are disclosed. The method and the apparatus provide for better positioning the radioactive portion in light of bunching of the wire within the lumen during insertion. A computerized controller uses a monitoring device to control an afterloader's insertion and withdrawal of the wire into the guide catheter. The guide catheter includes a sensor at its distal end, the sensor being an electrical contact having conductive surfaces exposed within the lumen and outside the guide catheter. The wire is electrically conductive, and is configured to come into contact with the sensor's conductive surface within the lumen when the wire is fully inserted into the lumen. The monitoring device includes one lead connected to the wire and a second lead connected to the subject's body.

The bearing is as one side supporter for the blade rotor. A motor is inserted into the fan right end. A shaft of the motor is used as other side supporter for the blade rotor. Both the fan left end and the fan right end have slots, which match slots on the heat sink, for mounting the cross flow fan to the heat sink.
