Abstract: A simulated hydrotherapy bath that avoids the dangers of water and yet simulates the sensory properties thereof is provided. The pool is comprised of a plurality of upholstered panels, each of which are secured together to define a soft-sided free-standing enclosure. Disposed within the enclosure defined by the panels are a plurality of crushable shape-retentive balls that have a predetermined diameter that is sufficiently large to prevent swallowing of the balls and yet sufficiently small so as to optimize a child's grasp thereof.
