Abstract: An electromagnetically driven punch press is described. The punch press has an engine plate and a die set and a ram between the engine plate and die set. The engine plate has an assembly fixed thereto having a solenoid with windings that create a magnetic field when a current is applied. The engine plate has a feedback means positioned on the engine plate to provide real-time data on the position and velocity of the ram with respect to said engine plate.
Abstract: A device for holding and drying apparel includes a foldable panel being convertible between an unfolded open arrangement or a folded closed arrangement, said foldable panel having at least one compartment disposed therefrom for receiving at least one item of said apparel, said foldable panel and compartment further including a series of open drying spaces for exposing said apparel to ambient air flow for drying thereof, and at least one support portion for carrying and/or hanging said apparel therefrom.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and apparatus of treating wine to improve the wine's taste. This is accomplished by treating the wine with a magnetic field formed by one or more magnets, preferably at least two magnets. These magnets are positioned with one magnet at the base of a container that is holding the wine and another magnet at the top of the container.
Abstract: An improved sash lock and keeper for a sash window assembly is disclosed. The sash window includes an upper sash window and a lower sash window. Each of the sashes is mounted within opposed guide rails which permit at least one of the sashes to travel slidably therein. The sash lock includes an actuator for engaging a keeper. The keeper is mounted on a style of one of the sash windows. The actuator has an actuator arm and a cam. The cam has a cam surface for engaging a keeper surface. When the cam surface engages the keeper surface thereby locking the two sashes, a flag extends from the keeper to signal that the actuator is in locking engagement with the keeper.
Abstract: An improved shoe for a casement window hinge is disclosed. The hinge has a base with a front end and a rear end and two sides. The base has a ridge on the rear end for securing the base to a track and a tongue extending from one of the sides. The tongue has a plurality of teeth extending from a side of the tongue. A gear wheel is adapted to be rotatably secured to a track. The gear wheel has a plurality of teeth about its circumference which mesh with the teeth on the tongue. The rotation of the gear wheel causes the base of the hinge to move longitudinally in relation to the track.
Abstract: A window operator handle securable to a casement window operating drive shaft is described. The handle is movable between an operating position to a folded position. The handle has a body housing that has a cavity which includes an operating mechanism. The operating mechanism has an assembly body secured to the housing, a pivotal member positioned in a first section of the assembly body and a sliding member positioned in at least a second portion of the assembly body. The pivotal member is adapted to pivot from a first position to a second position as the handle is moved from a first position to a second position. The pivotal member is held in one position and the other position by the sliding member. The sliding member is retained in contact with the pivotal member by a spring means in said assembly body.
Abstract: A slot cover for an apparatus, the apparatus having a moving carriage and a member connected to the carriage which travels in a slot. The elongated hollow member is defined by a top member, a bottom member and a pair of side members. Each side member has a connection member extending therefrom and a slot cover joining the connection member. The carriage has a cover guide connected thereto which moves with the carriage. The cover guide causes the connecting member to become separated from the slot cover as the cover guide travels along the slot. The separated portion of the slot cover is pressed into engagement with the connection member as the cover guide continues to travel along the slot.
Abstract: An applicator for dispensing a product that flows under pressure. The applicator has an exterior top surface, an exterior sidewall, and a base. The applicator has a chamber which constitutes a reservoir for holding the product to be dispensed. The reservoir has a top wall, a bottom wall and a side wall. The applicator has an orifice for dispensing product, and the orifice connects the top surface to the top wall. The chamber has a disk capable of traveling through the chamber forcing product through the orifice as it travels through the chamber. The disk has a product contact surface that contacts a major portion of the top surface when the travel of the disk is complete so that product remaining in the chamber is minimized.

Abstract: The present model refers to a wiper blade arrangement, wherein said blade acts on the surface of a windshield, said blade having a blade body formed as a single piece by welding, bonding, fitting or coextrusion of two different profiled materials, resulting in a single body having a curved shape throughout its length to allow uniform distribution of the load applied by the arm of the wiper. The blade and the arm are joined together by a sequential central support, made of metallic or plastic material, or, alternatively, by an enclosing central support, joining the blade body through a metal vertebra. The blade body has alternative constructive arrangements in its upper region, having a symmetric or asymmetric spoiler, as well as an alternative constructive arrangement with no spoiler at all, but only a convex bulging, leading to improved distribution of the airflow on the blade.
Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for obtaining a bond is disclosed. The invention employs a computer system that has a work station in communication with a server to provide information on a contractor that is required by a surety over the computer system. The server is provided with owner/obligee information concerning a bond over the network A surety is selected to provide the bond and the identity of the surety is presented over said computer network. The type of bond sought is identified. Approval of the bond is requested over the computer network and a decision on the bond request is obtained over the network. The approval decision includes an authorization code that is presented at a bid letting along with the contractor's bid. The authorization code permits an owner/obligee to view an approved bond through the computer network.
Abstract: A protein detecting device is disclosed. The device includes a reagent reservoir that is squeezable. The reagent reservoir has an end portion with a with a tubular member extending therefrom. This tubular member is hollow and in communication with the reservoir. The tubular member has an open end opposite the reservoir and has a cone shaped gasket in its open end. The cone shaped gasket has its base connected to an elongated member extending from the open end of the tubular member. The elongated member has a micro-brush at its end.
Abstract: An arm positioning device for scanning devices and the like is described. The device has a top surface, a bottom surface, a first leg and a second leg. Each of the legs has a first end and a second end. The first end of each leg has a height less than the height of the second end of each leg. The second ends of the legs are connected to a body portion. The body portion has a height greater than the first ends of the legs.
