  • Patent number: 7000367
Abstract: The present invention relates to a vacuum packaging machine for vacuum sealing by putting food into a vacuum packaging bag, removing air from the vacuum packaging bag, and sealing an open portion of the vacuum packaging bag, and a system for controlling the vacuum packaging machine. The vacuum packaging machine includes a housing (10), a hood (20) and a separation unit (60). The housing (10) has a cover (11b) with a rubber packing (12) attached to a border thereof and an outlet (110b) formed therein, and a heater (16) for sealing a vacuum packaging bag. The hood (20) is hingedly connected to the housing (10) to selectively open and close a top of the housing (10), and has a rubber packing (22). The separation unit (60) communicates with the outlet (110b) through a communicating member and is connected to a vacuum pump. The vacuum packaging machine forms a vacuum through the vacuum pump when the rubber packings (22 and 12) of both the hood (20) and the housing (10) come into contact with each other.

  • Patent number: 7000220
Abstract: A software application development system and method of developing and running software is disclosed that allows multiple developers to access, develop and run a common software application simultaneously; even while others are running and using the same software application. In a first aspect of the invention, a software development environment includes combined run mode and design mode functions and code which allow a user to seamlessly toggle between run mode and design mode without compiling or otherwise converting the software application. This is accomplished through the use of common properties tables in both the run mode and the design mode for the application. In a second aspect of the invention, multiple clients of a software application server are each able to develop, run, and otherwise interact with a software application at the same time from different computers so that each modification by each client is reflected immediately in the software application running on each other client.

  • Patent number: 6988695
Abstract: An adjustable and collapsible display stand provides improved adaptability to uneven surfaces. Adjustable, flexible connections between strut braces and adjoining struts and a vertical support member allow a user to adjust the angle, load, support and position of the collapsible display for enhanced usage. The point of closest approach of the struts may be constrained by a grommet, clamp, sleeve, or motor bracket and maintained a predetermined distance from the foot by a vertical support member. A simplified, inexpensive apparatus for connecting strut ends to mounting tubes makes installation easier. The collapsible display stand may be adjusted and easily set-up by hand. Variations of the display stand enable mounting on a wall, mounting with strut braces supported by the ground at the end of the vertical support member, and mounting with strut braces supported at a middle region of the vertical support member.

  • Patent number: 6964075
Abstract: A bi-directional carpet trimmer and tucker tool has recesses receiving blades in a generally horizontal or slightly angled orientation. The blades and recesses have structure to inhibit rotational and translational movement of the blades in the tool. The tool also has a trailings guide engaging trailings trimmed from an edge of carpet to be tucked. The trailings guide moves the trailings away from at least one tucking wheel along a path generally between a handle and the at least one tucking wheel. This guiding operation inhibits interference of the trailings with tucking and trimming operations.

  • Patent number: 6956169
Abstract: A simplified installation design for an in-use cover for an electrical outlet includes conical mounting screw holes in the outlet box and movement-restricting guides to ensure the mounting screw aligns with the mounting screw holes. Angled side mounting screw holes allow the outlet box to be installed with screws from within the box rather than the conventional nails outside the box. In particular embodiments of the invention, prongs, screws, clamps, heat stakes or other attachment components extend from the back of the insert to allow for pre-installment attachment of the electrical device directly to the insert. This also simplifies installation of the recessed in-use covers. Adaptors may optionally be included to allow the device to be adapted for use with a variety of sizes and shapes of electrical devices. An alternate embodiment of the invention includes a recessed in-use outlet formed of an electrical box, a receptacle, a cover plate and a cover to allow for simple installation with fewer parts.

  • Patent number: 6938292
Abstract: The invention is a bi-directional carpet trimmers and tucker. The trimmers may be adjusted or sized to trim the carpet edge to the correct length for tucking. At least two trimmers are provided, one for each direction of operation. The height offset of the trimmers above the carpet trimmer and tucker baseplate may be fixed or may be adjustable to allow for variances in carpet thickness and different depths of the tucking trough. Guides extend from the trimmers to slidingly or rollingly engage the wall or baseboard and to orient the trimmers. The trimmer blades are oriented horizontally. The invention also includes a retrofit trimmer for existing carpet tuckers. The retrofit kit comprises a replacement handle, or grip, with integral or attachable trimmers extending to align with the wheels of existing 3-wheeled carpet trimmers.
